Download (.zip - 83MB) Tracklist [...]

Gary Gygax passed away on Wednesday. I never did that much D&D to be fair, but if it hadn't been for the stream of pen & paper Roleplaying games that his work inspired, and which I played the shit of (MERP, Call of Cthulhu, Runequest, Cyberpunk, Star Wars, Traveller and ...
We bid farewell to this 2007 of great hecticness, haulage of goods from one place to another and much good music, we do this by peering into the future hopeful and confident like chthonic seers with an ace in the hole, discussing things that shall be hot in 2008. As an ...

Where to start with this i'm not quite sure. Checking out this month's Wire magazine i was shocked, shocked i say, to see such old timers on the cover as Underground Resistance. For those that don't know UR, Underground Resistance is a label/collective of mainly techno artists thats been around about as long as i have. I can't recall the first time i heard a UR track, but i remember being struck by it's ability to convey such a sense of revolution in a lyric-less song. Its pretty much the purest techno your gonna get. Driving, flashing, in [...]

Misconceptions Of The Misunderstood is from Detroit to Chicago transplant Tim Baker. I've known Tim for what seems like ages now. When I first met him, he was still in Detroit, Elephanthaus was a clothing line and a party crew. He later relocated Chicago, he was actually my neighbor. We baked each other brownies, borrowed sugar and eggs, you know neighborly stuff. He's still going strong in Chicago, and this album is proof, "he still got it!" I promised techno, and i've been immersing myself (as I frequently do) in Detroit's finest after watching 'High Tech Soul' last night. It's a documentary DVD telling the story of the creation and development of techno music, featuring interviews with all of the scene's legendary movers and shakers. It focuses of course on the Belleville Three: Juan Atkins (The Originator); Derrick May (The
