Up The Empire has been laying low for a while now. It's been more than ten months since they played a show, but they're back tonight, playing at Mercury Lounge - a release party for their new EP that just came out yesterday. There's a little centro-matic, a little National, a little Dinosaur jr, and alot of goodness. 4 voice melodies, pulsing drums, plenty of noise-rocking, speed picking, fuzzboxing (no, that's not a word), fret scraping goodness and really catchy songs.
