What does one do when Ryan Olson, the mastermind behind the Minneapolis Supergroup Gayngs suggests that you start your own band? Vampire Hands are a psych rock band from Minneapolis who have a fondness for playing in Kansas/Missouri. I also have it on good authority that their most recent release, Hannah in the Mansion , was named after their experience of staying at Charles Mansion in northeast KC, which I find pretty hilarious. I hope that's true. Anyhow, their music is eerie and compelling as well as expertly composed.
