Vancouver's very own Sleepy Tom has been making quite the buzz lately, a year ago he was the Fools Gold mascot at A-Trak's show and now he's putting out his debut EP through Fools Gold Records. To experience a performance from Vancouver-based alternative/indie outfit Philoceraptor is to know them. The first time I caught them live, front man (?) Justin Penney partied his way off a stool and broke some vital bones in his body, prompting tears (allegedly) and an internet apology - this was preceded by an exquisite rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody, acapella, by fellow vocalist Steve Mann. Vancouver-based duo WMNSTUDIES are known for transforming sultry R/B tracks into dance floor anthems. Their latest creation, a rework of Usher's 'Nice and Slow', is no different.
