Its easy to expect what you're going to get out of a show that is heavily dubstep influenced. Dubstep isnt the most innovative and versatile genre, so artists ability to amaze in a live performance is quite elusive. This is generally speaking and obviously there are exceptions to the rule. Vancouver's YukonBlonde are the perfect music for a sunny summer evening at the lake. I've been wanting to talk to the band for a while now, but I think this interview was cursed . Today is a good day; Vancouver's own Kieran Fearing has released his debut full length, Reprieve . Inevitably, words fail to capture the essence of music, and they fall especially short in this case. I've been meaning to post this video for a while, but today is the perfect day to finally get around to it. The sun is finally out here in Halifax, which maybe/hopefully means spring might finally be in the air, and the laid back vibe of this song (from Self Taught's recent album Feast of Fools ) make it perfect lazy summer day listening. Last Sunday I was fortunate enough to attend the legendary british Drum & Bass DJ/Producer Netsky at Celebritites Nightclub in Vancouver.
