Me and brent will both be out of town this weekend, so there probably won't be many posts. But here is this month's mix for you to enjoy over the weekend. Some of the songs we have posted on already but are just too good to keep off the mix, others are brand spankin' new. As always, if you like what you hear buy the album/EP/etc. Enjoy. We had the wonderful Bryanna do some photo interning for us (read: taking photos while we finished off our first Coke) and the first dozen or so are all hers. Pretty good job for a slacker type (kidding). Alex English killed it with his mix of 80s, 90s and contemporary electro bangers and resident DJ Holla pulled through, despite rampant battles with the sound set-up. Thanks for coming out kids, we had fuuuuuuuuuuun. (mp3) Justice - Valentine (Vega remix) [...]

2 September, 2008 "VEGA" - Everyone has been going crazy for VEGA - After leaving Ghosthuster and coming to NYC for the summer, he's created something new and amazing. I'd even say he's the 21st century Rick James - see for yourself. VEGA has sent over a little teaser to get your mouth watering. As well as the track thats been spreading like fire 'All to Vivid'. You can also experience All to Vivid in a very vivid homemade music video - [...]

So I know I should call it August playlist since is actually a review for August not September and being that is September the first; however I already have a August playlist so we will have to deal with the inconvinience. Again its all about the best music I posted through out the month and a few I didn't but are simply too cool to pass out. Van She - Sex City Boy Crisis - Dress to Digress Bufi - Endless [...]

Vega aka Jay Vega out of Brooklyn has been popping up in a few spots and is sounding smooth to our ears thus far. Sure it's the umpteenth billion Justice remix but why the hell not if you can deliver the goods. We pair it up with a track from the The Kills: one of those bands that cry out for more remixes, not because the originals are bad - on the contrary - but just that they tend to be 'sparse'. Black Balloon gets a nice widening out from this edit. Take a gander [...]

unknown Another great track from Phrenzy . Definitely heard this great track by Van She many times, a remix of it can't hurt. I'm definitely loving it! Second is a rather old remix by Frankmusik of CSS . He's kind of the underrated version of Calvin Harris, he deserves way more hype than he has. And lastly, the Vega remix of Justice . Why hasn't there been more remixes of this track? I love Valentine . It's [...]
So here we go again. School's back. Traffic is nice and thick again. Life in the daily grind. Honk Honk Punch. But doesn't all that crap make Friday's even better? That's what I'm banking on. Here it goes... mp3: Justice - Valentine (Vega Remix) mp3: Muscles - The Lake (White Williams Sludge Remix) mp3: New Young Pony Club - F.A.N. (Yo Majesty Remix) mp3: Santogold - I'm A Lady (Diplo Mix ft. Amanda Blank)
Asher Roth perfors his "Cannon" Track, and Mos Def spitting like he does...

VEGA's "All to Vivid" is a song that makes you feel like you are young and alive in a major metropolitan area. VEGA sings about missing some1 in his dreams and in the city. This is Vega's first song. I wonder which electro-producer his blogville career will mirror? All too vivid (OM) - Vega
W e posted about these two Vegas showgirls a while back : The AFGHAN RAIDERS have shot and completed their offical video for the single "Future Thinkers" . Check it out, and you can go to BadicalBeats if you like for more info.

Brooklyn DJ Mr. Vega has transformed "Valentine" by Justice and "Black Balloon" by the Kills, two typically more relaxed tracks, into some bangin' dance numbers. Particularly "Black Balloon", listen up. The Kills - Black Balloon (Vega Remix) Justice - Valentine (Vega Remix) Mr. Vega Myspace AZLTRON MUSIC BLOG
Remember Ghosthustler? The fabulous Dentronic-we-don't-know-its-no t-the-80s synth spectacular? Vocalist Alan Palomo is back with the newly formed VEGA, his brand new single "All Too Vivid" is out now, and and it's THE perfect pop summer jam- already a playlist staple. Thanks to GvB for putting this on the radar- we've busy busy busy busy waiting to hear [...]

Where Palomo's going, they don't need roads. (Spencer Cogburn) ...and the guy's really changed things up! OK, well, not really. Mostly, it's just more of the same infectious, heavily '80s-influenced electro dance pop. Anyway, the song's called "All Too Vivid" and Palomo's got a new moniker, too: Vega. Cool? Yeah. But I kinda prefer the name he told me he was considering right after Ghosthustler broke up: Dead City Heat. Anyway, this shit's all over the Web today (seriously, is there a local [...]

VEGA is the brand new project from Alan Palomo , ex- Ghosthustler frontman, and the kid mostly responsible for that group's small but impressive body of twinkling '80s Euro synth-pop jams. He's off to a swimming start on this first VEGA joint, which will be released in 12" format on new Austin/NYC label Vogue College Records . For me, Palomo's work sits head and shoulders above most of the run-of-the-mill "blog house" ( WTF is bl0g house? ) that's cluttering up the electro-blogosphere, thanks in large part to his self-assured, unstoppable signature vocal delivery, his legit [...]

Every time I visit Disco Dust , I'm amazed at how many great new artists he somehow digs up. However, that isn't to say that he won't post up ish from an established act or two (or at least established in the blog world, that is). Enter Alan's (that would be the old voice behind Ghosthustler ) new gig: Vega . His first single - "All Too Vivid" - will be dropping on his very own Vogue College Records and, well, it's more than worth a listen. Fabulously soothing instrumentals, insistent vocals, etc. [...]

you can't imagine how long i've been waiting for this! alan, the voice and former main man behind ghosthustler is finally kicking off with his new project vega . and what can i say, everything that you loved about him is still there - the catchy melodies, the dreamy synths, and most of all his unmistakable voice. 'all too vivid' is launching alan's own label vogue college records which will put out the single coupled with another track and some remixes next month. after recently recording with most wanted remixer todd edwards [...]

antony gormley So, I've actually been looking for this track for some time now, completely forgot about it. It's one of Calvin Harris ' first remixes and it's of none other than Jamiroquai . Though I'm a bit scared of why it's never really been posted before, if you are the label/artist and want this track removed, please contact me. It's one of his remixes back from 2006, I actually love the strange synth sound he's so known for which is especially noticeable in this track. I [...]
God appeti.... weekend! Daft Punk - Human After All (SebastiAn Remix) (download) Britney Spears - Radar (Hot Pink Delorean Remix) [...]
by phil Hot off an impressive performance at Lollapalooza , in which they deemed Mr. November , "a song not about John Mccain," The National debuted a brand new tune last night at Vega in Copenhagen. It's called "A Thousand Black Cities," and while the video and sound are not the clearest, it's always a good thing to hear new music from The National—look out for the quick breakdown at about 2:30 and some horns to close out the song.
