With the news that Vessel has just signed to TriAngle Records only just becoming little fetuses in my ears, I went to my bedroom and hi-fived myself to fuck. I'm a happy man, not only is the pairing a perfect patch, but Vessel's music is becoming increasingly contorted and gleefully bent on fucking with one's reality. New York's TriAngle Records dropped another heater today, in the form of this track from their newest signing- 22-year-old UK resident Vessel. "Scarletta" is just a taste, but it definitely points to big things in the kid's future- it's a stark, mature, tech-y study in tension and bass weight that recalls oft-overlooked classics from the likes of Appleblim and Shackleton. Vessel gives heavy-duty kick drum sounds, ghostly voices and a decidedly sinister sub a pretty thorough workout across in under three and half minutes, tastefully glitching the whole way through. A new track from a recent Tri Angle Records signee, Vessel. The dude is a 22-year-old producer from the UK, and he's set to release material on the label later this year. The sound of this track isn't too far off what I'd usually expect from Tri Angle: Really dark, murky textures combined with a punchy beat. However, this track's rhythms get pretty interesting toward the finish of this song; plus, there are some pretty nice soundscape-y sounds flying by in the background, adding a lot to the atmosphere.

Tri Angle's latest signing, 22 year old UK based producer Vessel , has unveiled a new track in an attempt to fit in with his new roster. Has it worked? Of course. 'Scarletta' is an out-and-out Tri Angle track. It's dark, it's interesting, it's great, it could be on the soundtrack to a really disturbing snuff movie. Excellent.

Nika Roza Danilova aka Zola Jesus is back with her new album "Conatus", which keeps up with the dark standards her deput album had set. The video for "Vessel" was directed by Jacqueline Castel head of A Primitive Future, who is responsible for Zola's past four videos, as well.

Zola Jesus just released her third album, Conatus , and with it she delivers music that's as invigorating as ever. The eccentric singer continues to push the envelope, experimenting with sound and creating music that stands out from the clutter.
