As far as I'm concerned Paul Von Aphid is a fucking genius. I started unraveling his projects, first with Modern Howl, to me this seemed like it had to be the entire soul-focus of two musicians, who are thinking out of the box, making timeless music in an era where 90% of what I come across is a flash in the pan and false. • Parfume Jill Jarry - Hallucunating

Hip-hop inspired punk artist Vex Ruffin is starting to garner some heavy buzz after the appearance of "Take It" on HBO's Girls television show. The cut holds a repetitive groove throughout staying true the "minimalist" style Ruffin has described his sound as with scorching vocals carrying over top. The song will be on a new LP sometime next year being released through Stones Throw . Stream it below.
