Ever since I saw this Philadelphia duo open for St. Vincent last year, I have been completely obsessed with Pattern is Movement. They definitely stand out as one of the most unique bands that I've ever encountered: they look like lumberjacks and yet they make beautiful, flowery but distinct music with incredibly complex rhythms and rich, multi-layered vocal harmonies.
