Throwing the migratory concept of the multi-venue multi-gig idea out of the window, due to a weird combination of the organisers timetable programming and our own summer festival schedule which gives opportunities to see certain artists at numerous events and therefore not necessarily this weekend in London, our whole second day of the Camden Crawl is spent in the bunting dressed Wheelbarrow pub. Camden Crawl ? More like Camden Stationary. As the music and alcohol flows a constant stream [...]

Well seeing that we've started with a bit of a round up of the last couple of weeks, here's a bit of a playlist of ten tracks which I have enjoyed but not shred with you as yet. 1. Here come the lists! We've already had Mark covering his best singles and albums, and now we come to videos. When I think of a great video, I think of something not only visually arresting, but images that are inextricably tied to the song itself. Every time you hear that song after seeing the video, your mind automatically queues it up in the Netflix of your brain. That's my criterion for a good video; your mileage may vary. Cosmo Jarvis - Gay Pirates I normally find literal interpretations of song lyrics in a [...]
I'll admit, I think my favorite part of this song is when the ladies come in singing 'banging and banging on'. It's one of those songs that could easily be irritating due to the repetition, but after about 3 listens I was definitely having this. It's not quite as good as 'Parrot' , but that was an unusual marriage of spiritualism and ornithology that's not likely to be repeated. There's just something about a plea to 'make my parrot talk' that compels me to dance.

This peculiar foursome have periodically popped up on my radar throughout the year, and I believe I noted previously on the blog that I quite liked this video for 'Parrot'. Not only am I reminded of the infamous Monty Python Parrot Sketch, but the video effectively demonstrates something I've known for quite a while - parrots are rather nasty little bastards. They'll eat your fingers if you aren't careful! So I think the video works both as an interesting musical style (sort of a creepier version of Young Knives) and as a much needed Parrot P.S.A. [...]
I'm no lame fidelity fanatic but I do like my music to be of a certain quality. If it's not 192kbps (and preferably 256kpbs) then I don't really want to hear it….unless it's REALLY good. If it's THAT good then I'll take the song in any form, even as a horrible radio quality MySpace of YouTube rip. Below are five songs that I am totally in love with that I could find NOWHERE online, except on YouTube or MySpace. I've ripped them and I'm posting them. If you're the artist behind one [...]
Hot Pink Delorean are a group of DJ's/Producers coming staight outa Boston. They're name does to the untrained ear represent a link to the 80's madness of Marty McFly..... however i know differently.... click here to reveal their real motivation... naughty boys. They have a synthy 80's rocky style glamourising distorted guitars, drivin basslines and eccentric vocals. They have a new E.P. out Im

So last year at TCU, my best friend Taylor decided to make a movie through the TCU Student Film Association. My other best friend, K (she's the beautiful girl swimming in the pool), was one of the stars of the movie (OH YEAH) and I did the music for the film (OH YEAH). So after all this time and effort, Taylor just showed me the preview and I have to say that I was totally 100% blown away! It looks so legitimate and wonderful. I'm soo impressed. The preview is really great and it features a band that I don't [...]
