I'm feeling generous, so here are four lurverly tracks. The first two certainly have a dream pop aesthetic, Violas offer woozy two in the morning sort of track, you know the room is spinning a little bit...the vocals here are pure and almost hymnal, the guitars drift around in the mix, it swells towards the end yeah its a good'un. Shady Elders,  firstly that is a terrific band name secondly that voice-its terrific! This is like soul dream-pop, the vocals really cut through the reverb and give the track an emotional body. Review: Rachael Yamagata and Mike Viola @ World Cafe Live 10/31 It was an eerily entrancing Halloween evening at the World Cafe Monday night.  Downstairs Live sported some spookiness with dimly-lit orange wall lamps, and the WXPN and WCL logos in orange on opposite sides of the stage, partially illuminated by orange icicle lights and orange Japanese lamps, bulbous like pumpkins.  These were part of the Japanese garden, or the ‘Yamagarden’, if you will, in tandem with some foliage.  A small portion of the crowd was decked out in costumes, adding to the venue’s already haunting ambiance.
