The day is again beautiful with that deep blue sky and plenty of sun. The air outside has a morning chill which I think will get warmer as the day gets older. Gracie has been outside all morning and barking every now and then. I went out with her while the coffee was brewing and saw nothing to prompt the barking, but I'm keeping an eye out for a coyote. There are some songs that sneak up on you, so unassuming in the first few seconds until it reaches a note where it seizes you in such a wonderfully forceful way and before you know it, you've already listened to it 19 times. Violet's "Where The Wild Things Grow" is one of these songs. Beautifully subtle at the beginning until it evolves into this lovely blend of lush strings and saccharine vocals. Yesterday, Allen Taylor ( Lotus Plaza , Mirror Mode , Kolossi ) released a new EP from his Feast of Violet project, which he recently recorded while on tour in Europe with Lotus Plaza.
