Former DECKastee , 10TH LETTER , recently released his 4th album, Behind The Iron Chrysalis , on his bandcamp page earlier this month. In close proximity to his previous successful release, WEAPONS , Jeremih takes his celestial beat compostions one step further managing to create a pool of 17 tracks that are breathing creatures in themselves. From beginning to end, an adventure through spacious sound and muttering layers that somehow work in the rhythm equation of a off-kilter timing aesthetic. The beat [...]
Couple weeks ago we had the pleasure, under the guise of Starminds, of doing some visuals for our friend Spazzkid's Desire album release party. Above is some amateur video of our visuals and Spazzkid rockin' the 9s and 10s. We used iPads, projectors, lots of crazy loops, compiled graphics and a whole lotta craziness. Had an amazing time doing it. Please check out Spazzkid now! Digital on Keats Collective also stream the entire album here .

Bloum is a young group from around Paris, made up of two acoustic/electronic musicians and two visual artists. The band produces electro creations, influenced by artists like Four Tet, Burial , XXYYXX , Pachanga Boys , Nicolas Jaar ... right up to Magic Malik . They contacted me to showcase their work. I fell in love with their sound. And even more when they uploaded 'Flower Dress' to their Soundcloud profile. It's easy what I would call "Slolectro". A mix between Employee Of The Year's Slow French genre and some more up-lifting Electro. [...]

One of the opportunities I’ve appreciated as a Dane101 contributor is shining a light on new theater companies, so the emergence of a new collective of actors, musicians, and other artists that not only puts on performances but produces its own magazine is something I find especially interesting. Project Famous first came on my radar late last year through Facebook activity and the involvement of theatrical polymath Simone LaPierre. One of their projects was a show on Red Dragon TV called Vaudevillains , a contemporary variety show. [...]

Alphabets Heaven - Birthday from diplodok493 on Vimeo . I think I just had a bit of brain melt listening to this track from Alphabets Heaven. A large part of this odd sensation that I am experiencing is due to the visuals, this is very much an audio/visual experience make no mistake. The track itself is subdued and feels fairly minimalist. But once the beat gets going it still has a warm feeling to it, striking a delicate balance. The video is something completely entranc ing and is very [...]

This week the Arts Extract podcast co-host Scott Gordon takes a walk through a show of American artist Ellsworth Kelly’s prints at MMoCA with Trent Miller of SpackleMadison.com . Visuals provide a video worthy of their name. Just who are Visuals? A couple of guys from Brooklyn digging on Beck, Suicide, Josef K, Gary Numan, and Harry Partch is an easy enough...

Visuals is the Brooklyn duo comprised of Andrew Fox (vocals, guitar) and Marshall Ryan (drums). They run with the likes of Empress Of, Small Black, and Chairlift. Apparently, they met while rooming with Small Black. Their sound pulls from a very electic mix of influences and only have two songs circulating through the internet to date that can be found here . In the video for "Levitation", they do their best to take you a trippy ride with a string of random imagery and colorful backdrops. Kids, this is your brain [...]
Visuals - Levitation This project was dreamed up by Andrew Fox (guitar, vocals) and Marshall Ryan (drums) who, as legend has it, met while living in Brooklyn with the Small Black boys. I can imagine that made for some fertile and creative hang-sesh time. If this video is any indication, it was likely influenced by evenings of… let’s call it “looking deeply into the universe.” Get this debut track along w single b/w “Goodbye” over on their [...]

Produced by Infinite Beats Visual is prepping the release of his new project, The Ambassador, and has decided to let the first leak fly. And, uh, this is it. (See what I did there?) The Ambassador will only include features, and no solo shots will be included. Vis explains: This is the first leak to my new project "The Ambassador" , which is a project that consist of strictly features. I am passionate about building bridges between artist in my city and I have been doing so for some [...]

Produced by Loose Cannon In case you were living under a boulder, yesterday was Michael Jordan's 50th birthday. You probably saw it mentioned somewhere. In honor of Jordan's half-a-century on the earth, VISUAL cut this dedication to the greatest to ever do it. No Jordan shrugs over here for this one. Huddersfield based fashion designer Benaiah Matheson has been making steady waves with his designs which have in turn caught the eye of several underground music artists here in the UK many of whom happen to be friends of bexperimental.com so today after a quick discussion amongst a few members of the team we realised that although a few of us actually wear his designs (coincidentally I wore one of his sweatshirts to the Mic Righteous launch last night) we've neglected to share his work with you and so without further ado I've screen-capped some of his recent range to showcase [...]
