On September 22 Jagjaguwar will release a new collaborative project from Bon Iver and Collections of Colonies of Bees . It's called Volano Choir, and their upcoming album will be titled Unmap . The release was recorded late last year in Wisconson. Monikers aside, Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) joins forces with Jon Mueller, Chris Rosenau, Jim Schoenecker, Daniel Spack and Thomas Wincek (Collection of Colonies of Bees)* to create the uber-Wisconsin musical collective Volcano Choir . Justin Vernon and his guitar-noodling buddies from Wisconsin known as Collections of Colonies of Bees are joining forces as Volcano Choir for an album called Unmap .
