Vuvuvultures are off touring Brazil for a week this Thursday. Ahead of their little trip away, they have released a stunning video for "Safe Skin", and of which you can check out below! Vuvuvultures have very recently completed their début album, which is due to be released in July, preceded by a brand new single titled 'Steel Bones'. They are also in the process of putting together a UK tour in support of this release. More details will follow. Follow / [...]
In "Stay Still" by the Vuvuvultures one of those bored housewives goes off the deep end and completely beheads her husband. This is after serving him up a plate of dead chicks, maggots, spiders, ants and a number of other gross appetizers. Not the kind of food you were expecting? Perhaps I should include that there were some oranges, strawberries and pasta involved as well. The catch in all this is that the housewife (who performs amazingly in her lip close up scene) is married to a fly. Maybe he is abusive. Maybe he just watches too much [...]
Vuvuvultures won't let you "Stay Still". Our buddies at Alphabet Bands turned us onto the music of London-based band Vuvuvultures . Their song, "Stay Still" , was released as part of the band’s work with the Mark Thomas Taylor Menswear "IN THIS TOGETHER" campaign. The campaign is associated with the MTV [...]

Formed in London in 2011, Vuvuvultures are moody and abrasive. Their music, the charmed result of a deeply mischievous surgery. The songs are craftily welded together, fusing the best parts of each member's musical biology into nimble - if unpredictable - purpose built machines. So why not check out their latest track! The nouveau goth movement was already in full swing before I've even realised the full extent of it. As I sit here going through Savages' facebook photo album, making plans for the show with O Children and The Voyeurist tomorrow and listening to Vuvuvultures, I cannot help but feel a sense of, relief. Relief in the sense that these upcoming bands have restored my faith in British guitar music, and most importantly, in the music of our generation. Relief but also wonder. I'm thinking, why is it always the bands and artists that explore the darker realms of life and [...]
Vuvuvultures just premiered the video for I'll Cut You , a gritty affair - straight from your wildest nightmare. That heavy electric guitar just oozes sex. How could I describe this track? Florence & The Machine meets Marilyn Manson and Charli XCX at a Garbage concert. A follow-up single is planned for later this year, but you can always grab their new EP VVV on iTunes.

Not sure who or what this band is about, but they're apparently getting props on BBC 6 and deigned to bestow upon us a thick-as-syrup remix of their new single, the jovially titled song 'I'll Cut You'. Anyway, it's nice - fans of Zola Jesus will get on down here: Follow the instructions above to get yo free download. More Vuvuvultures here - give this a poke if you find new Marina and the Diamonds too bubblegum. -Mandu

London-based Vuvuvultures (VVV) have been swiftly yet subtly building momentum since their conception in 2011, having developed into a cult-status live band, VVV take over warehouses and host multi-faceted collective parties called ‘ The Island ’. From the self-made artwork, to half of East-London rocking the synonymous symbol tshirts; from the weird and wonderful videos, to the semi-nude, paint-drenched performances, VVV have established themselves as one of the most creative and innovative bands to emerge in the past year. With support from 6music, XFM and Amazing Radio, ‘ I’ll [...]

Last week Alexx Foxx put together a sweet remix of a small UK band, VuVuVultures. He loved the original track and created something that sounded completely different. He has previously remixed Bloc Party and this latest effort by the producer is a great way to showcase his talent. We love it as much as he does, and it's for a free download... you know what to do! Did somebody state that guitar bands were dead? The indie vs pop debate raged around over the last three or four years as guitar-based music became massively out-sold by the more electronic trend of modern pop. A mostly female-fronted youth market saw the girls defiantly climb on top with a sequence of talents that arrived around 2008/9, including the likes of Florence & The Machine , La Roux , Little Boots , Marina & The Diamonds , Ellie Goulding , and you can take the continued run of success right up to the more recent [...]
VuVuVultures When you come across a band that is both wonderfully weird and highly innovative, and you have to copy/paste the name just to be sure to make it right....
