Wait What, the man who brought rave reviews to his first two project The Notorious XX and NASD Out is back with anotha' one. For the past few years house and dubstep have dominated over what was once a blooming genre, the Mash-Up. Slowing venturing into an awkward step-child role of dance music, the mash-up has been pushed aside and over-abused, but there are still a few producers who can play that card pretty well. Wait What is one of those producers. "Tingo," is compilation of tracks mixing together some unlikely and extraordinary artists. [...]

Currently residing in the Los Angeles area, Charlie Kubal, aka wait what, delivers a mixtape with 24 remastered tracks that truly demonstrate his unique sound. tingo is the culmination of traveling to 8 different countries, working over the span of 6 months, and exhibiting Charlie's innate ability to [...]

In Things That Needed To Happen news... the prolific San Francisco mashup-crafter Wait What has brought the seamless talents you probably heard him exhibit on Notorious XX to Drake's Take Care title track, blending it together with the song it samples and interpolates, Gil Scott Heron and Jamie XX's collaborative "I'll Take Care of You." Wait What keeps Drake's verses intact, replacing Rihanna's hook section with Heron's vocals. "Take [...]

I'm sort of surprised it took this long for this remix to pop up, but here we have Wait What mashing up Drake and Jamie XX with Gil Scott-Heron. One track is off of Drakes, Take Care , and the other off of We're New Here from Gil Scott-Heron and Jamie XX. It's pretty much the perfect blend of both songs. Enjoy. Download: Gil Scott-Heron & Jamie XX vs. Drake - "Take Care of U" Wait What Remix

wait what - take care of u (drake vs gil scott heron & jamie xx) by wait what Remember when you heard "Take Care" for the first time and thought, why the hell is Rihanna on this? Well here you go. Nothing against Rihanna but she was basically an unnecessary addition to the song, probably to gain more widespread appeal and radio plays. wait what takes the song to what it could have (and I think should have been), leaving the hook to Gil Scott-Heron and keeping jamie xx's original production, bye [...]
