Taken from her forthcoming Shoestring EP, due April 1st, ‘Left to Wonder’ is another stunning piece of subtle pop from London's WALL . Once again showing what can be done when simple song-writing elements are used carefully and purposefully, the track floats along, gently developing ideas of vulnerability throughout. The mechanical rhythm returns and the vocal shows depth and range, flourishing in another genuine hook of a chorus that quickly appears to be becoming trademark. We are so psyched for the upcoming film Oblivion as it looks like the first decent Tom Cruise-starrer in over a decade. With just a few weeks to go before dropping her Shoestring EP, charming London singer-songwriter WALL has released yet another beauty called "Left To Wonder". The track floats gracefully, with a subtle backing beat bubbling below delicate, hushed vocals. Many of her songs, such as "No Secrets" and "Shoestring" , have a great quality to them, able to sound both so weightless and so emotional at the same time.
It's been a while since we've seen or heard anything from London duo Walls and although Sam Willis' reliably sublime Winterval record of yesteryear tided us over across those more rimy months we've now apparently left for dead, it's an undiluted joy to here have him back alongside long standing accomplice, Alessio Natalizia.
