When rumors about the first ever BottleRock Napa festival began to circulate, they were impressive: early flyers listed Dave Matthews Band and Pearl Jam as headliners (neither was ever confirmed). Still, the festival had the attention of the Napa Valley and surrounding music lovers long ago. Once the final lineup had been released and tickets [...] The post BottleRock 2013 Review: Napa's Inaugural Music, Wine, and Food Festival appeared first on Spinning Platters .

Over the last couple of years when we've written about The Polyphonic Spree it mostly focused around their enthusiasm for holiday music. On August 6, the choral-rock ensemble will release their properly punctuated album - Yes, It's True. - their first set of new material since 20072s The Fragile Army . The Tim DeLaughter fronted act, who harnessed the power of crowd-sourcing to help fund their new record in raising $100,000, will head out for a 12-date summer tour, which includes a high profile appearance at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, as well [...]

Dave Matthews e Jakob Dylan foram vistos juntos em um estúdio de Louisiana. Filed under: News , Video , Music Appreciation The Wallflowers When members of L.A.-based rock band The Wallflowers sat down with AUX TV to watch and dissect the video for their single "Reboot the Mission" they inevitably spent most their time discussing what is and isn't krumping. The single, which Dylan told Spinner was inspired by "one of the best rock groups of all time," The Clash , is [...]
"Why do I and everyone I love pick people who treat us like we're nothing?" So I finally watched The Perks of being a Wallflower. And that one line reminded me of a conversation a couple of friends and me had on Saturday; one I actually already had dozens of times before: why do we [...]

Filed under: News , Exclusive , New Music , Music Appreciation , New Releases The Wallflowers When The Wallflowers debuted their first single "Reboot the Mission" from sixth studio album Glad All Over there was something very familiar about it. A rubbery disco dance rock song, "Reboot the Mission" didn't sound much like what you'd expect an Americana foundation act like Wallflowers to sound like. Instead, it sounded [...]

Jakob Dylan (who is really looking more like father Bob Dylan these days) reunited with the rest of the Wallflowers at The Midland in Kansas City on 11/15. They performed in front of a decent sized crowd with My Jerusalem. Photos by Scott Spychalski [...]

By my estimation, this incarnation of the Wallflowers now has two large shadows to live under. First of all, there is the inescapable fact that lead singer Jakob Dylan is the son of the legendary Bob Dylan, a fact that is equal parts blessing/curse for any one looking to go it on their own. Secondly, the 2012 version of The Wallflowers now have to deal with the excruciating weight that is Bringing Down The Horse , their mega breakout album from 1996 that spawned hit singles such as The Difference , Three Marlenas , [...]
