No Doubt: Official | Facebook No Doubt is one of those iconic So Cal bands that everyone grows up listening to. For us here in Long Beach it was Sublime, Snoop, Warren G. In Orange County there was No Doubt, Suburban Legends, and a whole slew of other acts that emerged from the Ska community that later grew into their own in many different shapes and sounds. Last year we heard news of No Doubt FINALLY getting back into the studio to work on their next album. The video above [First [...]

Longtime West Coast rider, Warren G is bringing back the crooning hologram voice of Nate Dogg from the beyond for one last "Party." From the get-go, The Regulator proves he's [...]
Sunday was the first real day of Coachella-esque weather (Sun!!! And heat!), and so it was fitting to start the day in the audience of Lissie , the tannest white chick I have seen outside of Hollywood. She's a singer songwriter whose music is a little hard to engage with, not because it's dissonant or angry, but because it's deceptively accessible. You might even call it boring , until you set a spell and really listen to the no-holds-barred, truly introspective lyrics coming out of her. Imagine if, say, Taylor Dane picked up an acoustic guitar and started [...]
We've saved the best for last! As many of you already know, Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre closed off an incredible weekend at Coachella. It was such a big deal that I had to make a separate post for just this set. So many great rappers made guest appearances with the hip-hop legends. The names include, [...]

Day three of weekend one of Coachella 2012 is in the books, and you can replay Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's entire headlining performance below. The rumors proved true as the guest-heavy performance featured appearances by Eminem, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa, Warren G, and holograms of Tupac (!) and Nate Dogg. The career-spanning setlist kicked off with "The New Episode", "Gin N Juice, and "Nuthin' But A 'G' Thang". Nate Dogg's hologram then appeared for "Ain't No Fun (If The Homies Can't Have None)", Kendrick Lamar performed his new Dre-aided single "The Recipe", and Wiz Khalifa [...]
Ryan J already covered the 2012 Coachella lineup, and while he found a lot to be excited about, I couldn't help but think that the festival was a bit too [...]

When Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg headline the final day of Coachella , they'll be joined by a number of special guests. As longtime associate Warren G revealed on his website (via RollingStone.com ), "the good doctor will perform with all times friends Snoop Dogg, Daz Dillinger, Warren G & Eminem. Kendrick Lamar will also be here to perform [his] new single "The Recipe" . Y'all ready to feel the wrath of the Aftermath ? Let's gooo!!" Coachella weekend one goes down in just two days time. Stay tuned for set times, a webcast [...]

She just dances and keeps on dancing. She holds her glass up high, and pours out her beer as it splashes on the dance floor below. Instead of pouring some out for her homies, she is pouring some out
Graphic: Dimplez Almost a year ago, the Hip-Hop community was stunned to hear about the passing of Nate Dogg. At only 41 years old, the Long Beach crooner used his [...]
Very rarely do we post behind the scenes pics, or anything without a proper polish. Yet, over the course of my five year tenure here at the home Fresh, probably [...]
Last week, we laughed at the thought of Trina posing as the spokeswoman for Tax USA but she's neither the first, nor will she be the last rapper to appear [...]
Ever since his career kicked off back in the early 90s, Warren G has been putting on for his homies. Pick any album from the storied career of this G-Funk [...]

Kendrick Lamar born June 17, 1987 in Compton, California is exactly what hip hop has needed from the West Coast. A new young cat looking to make REAL music. KL is a hardcore Pac fan it should be noted. Not only is Tupac Lamar's favorite rapper, but he idolizes him in life as well dedicating at least 10 minutes at every show to Pac. Though I'm from the East where we rep Biggie, I'll let this mild transgression slide and say that Kendrick Lamar is a refreshingly talented young rapper that I am pumped about. Enjoy this music. [...]
Had to do it. Here's a playlist of some of my favorite West Coast tracks, mostly from the G-Funk era. When people think West Coast, this is some of the stuff they'll hear playing in their head. I hope you enjoy this gangsta sh*t. 11/5 - Brousin' The Luniz - Playa Hata Watts Gangstas - Fuct in the Game [...]

Review - Warren G @ Key Club - West Hollywood, CA - 10/01/11 Warren G @ Key Club Concert Review This Warren G show was originally scheduled for July 2nd, but for some reason or another, it was moved to October 1st. I was glad that the show got rescheduled, simply because I wasn't going to be able to make the July 2nd show. I arrived at the Key Club around 12 o'clock and the place was bumping. I'm not [...]

I wonder if there's a hard copy of the deluxe version.... Anyways, the long-awaited 9th Wonder album dropped today, which you can download on iTunes , something I highly encourage. That is the deluxe version, something I also highly encourage. 9th Wonder is too good of a producer and works too hard to give out music for free. With that being said: Filed under: Hip-Hop/Rap , Music Tagged: 9th , 9th wonder , deluxe edition , enjoy , Kendrick [...]
