Waylayers are among a specific movement in music that has very consciously decided 80s music and the catchy use of synthesizers are absolutely not dead. A movement I've always supported (see: Miami Horror). However, this British band sets itself apart by pairing their dedication to 80s music with a grand cinematic overtone. It makes for a completely new sound in the movement I mentioned earlier.

The band begun their Facebook pledge last week, whereby they have resolved to post a new song every week, with synth-pop track Magnets .
