Curators of this month's Topman CTRL , Californian rockers We Are Scientists were let loose with a video camera and came up with some rather strange but comedic footage. If you've ever wanted to find out why they never gigged in Alaska or details of the band's property aspirations in Riga, for example, then you're in luck. One of the more eccentric presentations included this Punch & Judy sketch which you won't find on the official site. Enjoy!
So I just happened to be randomly checking how much all this year's ACL Pre-shows and Aftershows were going to cost (expensive by the way) and stumbled upon some great news! We Are Scientists will be returning to Austin to perform at Emo's on Oct. 28th. Seeing how we were so freaking busy during SXSW and didn't get to catch them in March, this is definitely a show we won't be missing. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Sept. 11th. Another week, another recap. Perhaps this wasn't exactly the most exhilarating week in music in recent memory, but that's not to say that nothing of note didn't happen. For my inaugural post here, I wanted to try to explore the workout potential of some of the music recently covered.
