The past week has been one of the most productive for me in a long time, but also not a hell of a lot of fun. After heading back home following the Yale-Harvard game last weekend (painful-ass loss, but a damn good party), I got one good night's sleep, and then launched into work which has been almost unceasing since then as I'm trying to finish my thesis and also write three other papers. We Have Band has stirring up a lot of noise lately, and I was considering doing a post on them, but their stuff just wasn't quite sparking the fire in me to post on them. However I've always been a huge fan of Gentlmen Drivers remixes so when I heard their take on We Have Band's "Oh!" I just couldn't help myself. Really great remix. London trio We Have Band is the latest signing to French label Kitsuné , they've already been featured on the forthcoming Kitsuné Maison 6 compilation CD. Their sound has been described as "spastic bass heavy discorock" and if Devo was formed on today's music climate then they would probably sound something like this. This remix from Paris outfit Gentlemen Drivers of their debut single "Oh!"
