Harvested the first of this season's tangerines today. They are so outrageously organically sweet & succulent, eating one is almost as good as eating some pussy. I said almost! They're like a burst of sunlight. Right now I'm also in the process of getting the winter crop fava beans in, I'm still working on their trellises. Favas (really a vetch, not a bean, but classified as a legume) loosen the soil about two feet down & draw nutrients from as deep as ten feet. Horrible weather, bitey ducks (with twee berets) and Simon's drinking problem have caused us to be a twee bit house-bound today. So, hello from glorious Isle of Man.
