Originally founded by Alex Lee in 2009, the band has gone through an assortment of different members until finding a winning combination in 2011 consisting of additional members Davis Connors, and Andrew Monborne. I had Friday off and ended up spending most of the day sanding down cabinets. They came out looking great; a natural light pine distressed with a hint of dark stain peeping through. It's an eclectic dream-like state full of ambient spacey sounds that give the song a sense of solitude, and in these days of Mars exploration, this seems to fit right in. "Laura" by Western Affairs is not a song to take lightly. In the beginning, you get a cool, laid-back percussion paired with a surreal, echoing guitar.
