We don't usually put forward much NEW music on this blog as, frankly, most of it's pretty dire. However, Austin's White Denim are startlingly good. Having hit the UK last month for a string of dates, they leave in their wake the mighty single 'Let's Talk About It'. Under 4 minutes long and built around a breakneck speed garage riff, the track builds and build into space-echo infinity and swirls of delay, leaving the listener thoroughly disorientated. It appears that White Denim have really been making the rounds. Gobbling up some of the vast SXSW / CMJ spotlight, taking their show across the pond and inciting a score of positive reviews , press from the likes of Rolling Stone et al. , making deals , entertaining folks at the Plug Awards , so on and so forth. Well last night I ventured up to the great Metro for a little TNT action. I had heard great things about the opener White Denim from Austin, TX, so I showed up early to make sure to catch their set and I'm glad I did, because they killed. In seine Bestandteile gelegt zwar unglaublich schlecht, aber hintereinander, zusammen genommen: einfach wie schlicht.
