![[Album Preview] You Won’t- Skeptic Goodbye LP](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4029496_lg.jpg)
Skeptic Goodbye is the first recording project from Massachusetts band You Won't . The band's clever songs touch on universal themes like time, movement, and pop culture- making references to Back To The Future, 802s fashion, and the idea of the "American Dream" to tie their listeners to the songs and give them replay value. More than that, though, the songs are statements about today's ideals; set to music through melody, drumline percussion, clapping, and acoustic guitar. "It's just an illusion babe" sings vocalist Josh Arndouse (who's voice draws references to both Bob Dylan [...]

When we first heard Icelandic band Who Knew a few years ago, we fell in love. Their upbeat rock anthems and impassioned delivery reminded us of some of our favorite indie groups closer to home - in fact, their similarity to Spencer Krug's on Wolf Parade was hard to deny. But like all Icelandic bands we've encountered, they had a certain unique spin that made them uniquely, well... Icelandic. If you're a fan of Wolf Parade, Arcade Fire, Yeasayer, or just catchy hooks with melodic, reverb-rich vocals, you're definitely going to be into this session we recorded during [...]

This time, its the track " Who Knew ". Still don't know much about this Boston band. At least I'm throwing in a new pic of the band....... Who Knew by You Won't Can you tell me what that is at 1:34?
Massachusetts twosome Yon Won't wander through the folk-rock wilderness with some dynamite melodies to guide them along the way, and differentiate themselves from the pack of talented-but-underrated bands that navigate those same waters. Their latest record Skeptic Goodbye is an impressive batch of songs. Josh Arnoudse and Raky Sastri met in high school more than [...]

No, not the actor. Philip Seymour Hoffman is Noah. When I went to Berlin end of June/early July we also went to see Beach House at the Lido, as blogged about back then. We sold one of our tickets (it was completely sold out which made for a lot of desperate people) to an Icelandic guy from the band Who Knew? He'd been talking to another big fan without a ticket: Noah. He got in as well and we talked to all of them for a while. We later came [...]
![[Listen/Rolling Stone's Top 500] – #302 – Eminem – "The Marshall Mathers LP"](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/2747962_lg.jpg)
Released in 2000, this made the Guiness World Records for one of the fastest selling solo albums ever. In 2001 it won the Grammy for the Best Rap Album and also got a nomination for Best Album of the Year. Of all Eminem's albums, this was the most personal and serious. The topics were controversial talking about his own life as well as highlighting events of the Columbine High School massacre. There was so much controversy around the album that Canadian Attorneys tried to stop Eminem at the border when he was scheduled to perform at Toronto's Skydome. Regardless, it [...]

Stark similarities to Wolf Parade in this Icelandic band Who Knew, who just released their debut, Bits and Pieces of a Major Spectacle , on the German label DevilDuck (no US release just yet, but it's floating around the Web, and it's full of great songs). Who Knew - "We Do" Who Knew on MySpace
Layers of trembling guitar and synthesizer melodies overlapping falsetto voiced multi vocals from all of the band members... sounds familiar. Hailing from Reykjavik, Iceland; Who Knew is like a mix of Spencer Krug and Yeasayer. As for their performance, vocalist Ármann has been compared to David Byrne having a panic attack as the band leaps about in a manner reminding of an early performance by... [[ This is only a preview. In this month's MAP, I'm talking about the awesome Archie Bronson Outfit. You can see that below, along with the other 30 hand-picked tunes from around the world. But there's a dark shadow cast over this month's edition in the shape of the increasingly evil Google. On Friday evening, the ...

Let me first say, that the post below is not one put together by anyone at Music That Isn't Bad . It is instead an amazing project that was released monthly was described as an around-the-world exploration of untouched/unheard of music, also known as the Music Alliance Pact . It's great work. Although many of these bands might not normally be featured on our site, we feel it only makes sense to re-publish such work, and help it reach more ears. Not to mention, the person behind this project, the leader of the blog Pop Cop, got shut [...]
