Wild Cub "Drive" (Official Video) from Wild Cub on Vimeo . Singer-songwriter / film composer Keegan DeWitt and multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Bullock make up the Nashville-based duo Wild Cub , and they've caught our attention. They're just beginning to catch on - this summer they performed at Bonnaroo, for instance - but thankfully, they've uploaded a king's share of solid indie pop. "Thunder Clatter" is my personal favorite, but we'll let you decide for yourself. These tracks are our favorites so far. Thunder Clatter by Wild Cub [...]
Filed under: Video of the Day Artist: Wild Cub Video: "Wild Light" Highlight: "For the 'Wild Light' video, I really wanted to give some sort of small peak into my unique POV in creating that song," singer/songwriter Keegan DeWitt tells Spinner. "It's a cheeky song, but with a real center of gravity: It's about aging, understanding marriage, understanding the true density of love. We tried to capture a sort of nakedness, surrounded in some sort of awkward comedy, with a strange sort of sincerity. Public access [...]
I'm really feeling this new tune called "Wild Light" from Nashville based outfit Wild Cub . It's a fun little song that's a nice and bright way to get your day started. I'm sure it will also be appearing on our next council meeting playlist (stay tuned for info on that BTW). A debut LP from this new group Youth will be out August 14th on Big Light Recordings . Song obsessions are those songs that get stuck in your head. This series of posts isn't about what I or the other panel members think is best, but what our brain latches onto, those ear worms that loop around and around in your head. - Adrian ( me ): Of Monsters and Men - Little Talks (mp3) ( buy ) I've been listening to this whole album of Stars-meet-Iceland group-singing pop on repeat. It's thoroughly enjoyable. This song sticks out [...]

Five years ago I moved out of the San Francisco Bay Area for the snowy, crisp mountains of Colorado. I absolutely love my adopted home, our vibrant music scene, and the fresh air here, but no foolin' I do often long for my hometown hills. Over the holidays I went to San Francisco for a week to stay at the Noe Valley apartment of friends who were out of town and graciously let me "housesit." It was a part of town I had never stayed in before. When I first let myself into their empty place on [...]

just look at what I have done to the place! this is actually Smack Nightclub in Leamington Spa , UK. it's an LED-covered room in 360° with synchronized programming. Crazy. Anyone care to venture a guess as to how much this might cost?
I can't say that I've ever heard a song with so many F-bombs be so catchy, but so be it. What can I say, I'm a sucker for a harmonica.

Back from my very first RV tradeshow (never thought I'd type those words ever...) and it kicked my ass. BEFORE SHOW: AFTER SHOW: Yeah. Not so much. I have consequently slept over 26 hours this weekend and listened to music (as well as introduce Jiggy to the wonder that is "Labyrinth." How someone can get to the age of 20 and never understand the magic that is David Bowie in tights and yell "LUDOOOOOOOOOOO!" is beyond me...) and tried [...]
One of the best scenes in Trainspotting happens in the middle of the Scottish landscape. Instead of enjoying the outdoors the lead character rips their ancestry and country of orgin. Immediately after they decide to end their short lived sobriety... Wild Light's California On My Mind reminds of this sentiment. I think for ...

5. Wild Light - "California On My Mind"In the way The Who used to talk about, music and place and circumstance can intersect in a powerful way. When charging out of San Francisco last March, listening to Wild Light's debut record that Columbia had so nicely sent over, I was caught at the intersection of place-specific lyrics, my disposable income, wanderlust, some record industry contacts and one
TRUST ME ON THIS will be compiling two lists for 2009: best songs and best albums. Although the two lists might logically coincide, an excess of overlapping material would hardly make for an interesting read, so I've restricted myself to only one song that is also on an album that will be on the best [...]
Please do not mistake this list of songs as critically important or influential or groundbreaking or much of anything really - other than good, of course. These are just songs we liked this year that didn't appear on one of our favorite albums - and by that I mean me, Rube (please don't try to [...]
