Earlier today Wiley went another round on twitter, the good kind, expressing that his biggest dream is to do a record with Dizzee Rascal. Please, I know some Dirtee Stank involved people read this site on the regs, make it happen! Bury that hatchet! Wiley also, fresh off the release of "100% Publishing" let loose [...]
Richard Kylea Cowie, this is the reason why I still haven't fully given up on you over the years. Cause behind the God-complex, all random fuckery and the ridiculous admiration tweets to Kim Kardashian, I knew you had it in you, you still able to make bloody good music. "100% Publishing" is the album I've [...]
This “so far” thing is a bit of a crock. It’s a way to tickle our own fancies while simultaneously organizing thoughts, collections and memories. But in the case of music videos, I honestly can’t believe there will any further releases during the rest of the 2011 calendar year that tops this group. What a [...]

Grime MC Wiley's seventh studio album, "100% Publishing," promises to be a return to his roots, stripping down all the glossy pop layers once displayed by 2008 UK-breakout "See Clear Now."
It's about bloody time, if we're honest. Major Lazer 's "Guns Don't Kill People...Lazers Do" is without a doubt one of the best party records of the last couple of years, but for those of us whose lives it has been a big part of, we're all ready for some new material (the sense of dread on hearing the "Pon De Floor" sample in Beyonce's latest illustrates this clearly). Lucky us then, for Diplo and Switch have offered us a teaser of what's to come on the forthcoming album with their "Major Lazer in Jamaica" [...]
I posted this a few months ago, but Wiley's 'Numbers in Action' EP is finally out today. This is prob one of my favorite Wiley releases. It comes from the new album '100% Publishing', called 100% because 100% of the production is done by Wiley. 'Numbers in Action' sounds like something from Claude Von Stoke or The Martin Brothers, but its 100% Wiley. The remixes on the EP are also top shelf. One of my favorite new duos 'TODDSKA' have had a crack. Check it out. 100%: Wiley - Numbers In Action [...]

We here at Muso's Guide are currently SCREAMING with anticipation for Showtime at Cargo, as presented by The Heatwave. It's going to be insane. And we thought we'd try paraphrasing, but instead we'll just tell you what they about the probable show of the year - heck, it saves a page-worth of "OMGs", does it not? GO! The Heatwave present... SHOWTIME! A bashment stageshow extravaganza The Heatwave present an unmissable dancehall experience. The biggest MCs in the UK sharing the spotlight and passing the mic in classic Jamaican style. Having promoted a Wiley event, Noisey got to pick the man's brains for this mini-documentary. As someone who seems to swing massively between stripped-down, traditional grime and sickly sweet pop, it's heartening - if not entirely surprising - to hear him admit that it's major label influence that forces him to appease the charts. His second Big Dada album, 100% Publishing , is on the cards.

Sach O is all about that gwap. My day job and tonight's Passion sponsored round-table on Montreal bass music prevent me from writing in detail, but in yet another random move, Wiley have given away the instrumental version of his upcoming Ninja Tune album. Vacillating between Garage, MF DOOM meet Neptunes funk and Ragga digitalism, it's yet more evidence that the man is one of the most innovative beatmakers to never break in the North-American market. Ah well: Ska, Trip-Hop and Afrobeat were pretty awesome too and those only broke as punk, mood music and [...]

I've featured the fire hazard from the UK, Cherri V before when she joined in on the fun on the 'Female Takeover'-remix of Tinchy Stryder's 'Game Over' late last year. She has also been working with Wiley and Gnars Barkley, done a mad refix of Wretch 32's 'Traktor' and here's the official video for her latest single 'Greedy Eyes'. 'Greedy Eyes' is produced by Swindle and is taken from her forthcoming debut EP "Shades of Red" which is expected to land soon. Absolutely love it! Peep the Elmino-directed visuals after the jump: [...]

One of the major pioneers of the grime genre is back – but if you followed him on huge levels, you wouldn’t imagine him ever being away for long. Wiley is back on a new label which will hopefully see a new style and new sound on his new album, which is set for release later on this year. "Numbers in Action " is the single and it gives you a flavour of Wiley's new style and sound. "Numbers in Action " is also the first single from the album. [...]

WOW. Wiley's given away the instrumentals to his new album, 100% Publishing , for FREE! Download them on the link below & support him by Pre-Ordering the album 100% Publishing too. FREE DOWNLOAD: Wiley - 100% Publisihing (Instrumentals) | Alt Link iTunes | Amazon

May the return to Big Dad be the grand saviour of Wiley's career? Will it bring the perfect balance between grime and commercial success? It might be, cause "100% Publishing" looks well promising on paper, light years better than "Playtime's Over" that made him and BD part ways after the album was released in 2007. The release date of "100% Publishing" has been pending from the 27th of June 'til the 4th of July but the final date is now set to the 20th of June (pre-order the album off iTunes or Amazon ). [...]

Even the most casual observer of the news should be aware of IMF head Dominique Strauss-Kahn's arrest last weekend on charges that he (allegedly) sexually attacked a maid in his New York hotel suite. (Remember: he's innocent until proven guilty!) After noticing DSK as a trending topic on Twitter, I couldn't help but be reminded of Miami house group DSK's '90s club bomb "What Would We Do." The track was huge on dance floors all over the world and was later sampled on Wiley 's 2008 jam "Wearing My Rolex" and Kele 's "Tenderoni." Could DSK's [...]
