It seems Manchester Orchestra ’s frontman Andy Hull can take pretty much any song and dress it up as his own. His attempt at TV On The Radio ’s “Will Do” on the band’s bus before a show in Ohio is proof of it. He brands the song’s delicate use of digital and electric sounds, including keys, guitars and synths, with his famous aged/raspy style vocals and minimal use of acoustic guitar strings. This is off of their #3.09 YouTube channel episode series. You can check out more Manchester Orchestra behind [...]
Yet another Mylo remix has appeared on the Scotsman's soundcloud today and it's for TV On The Radio's 'Will Do' - it's a slow disco track which patters along at a sloth-like 95bpm. Certainly it's not the most exciting of his new remixes, but in some ways it's the most rewarding - give it a couple of listens and it starts to draw you in more and more. TV On The Radio - Will Do (MYLO REMIX) by mylo Hopefully we'll be seeing Mylo's [...]

You can peep the performance below via the Audio Perv . If you want to see the entire, 40+ minute performance, head on over to CBS.com . This week, we've been bouncing to some new tracks, some classics, some rarities (mostly of the remix variety), and some straight-up weird shit (we're looking at you, Underworld + David Lynch). Let us know what you think and what's thumping in your parts. Will Do - TV on the Radio Good Day Today (Underworld Classic Remix) - David Lynch Countdown (LA Riots Remix) - Jupiter One Worked Up So Sexual - The Faint America! - Bill Callahan - Apocalypse Beds - The Octopus [...]
On their latest LP bring a lotta tunes with little cohesion. There's a kinda shaky love song theme linking some of these tracks together, but it doesn't stop tracks like "No Future Shock" from jumping in out of nowhere. I enjoy quite a few of the tracks here, but for very separate reasons. "Killer Crane" has a fantastically blissful aura surrounding it; "Caffeinated Consciousness" is an in-your-face piece of funk rock that makes no apologies; and "Second Song" captures an emotional overload perfectly in the lyrics. Though the instrumentation, production, words all have their strong points, [...]

While TV On The Radio's name recognition and popularity amongst folks in the the jam scene has exploded exponentially in the last year and a half, the Brooklyn-based act has actually been around since 2001. In fact, the group has been releasing critically acclaimed studios albums since 20042s Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes, which earned them the Shortlist Music Prize that year. The five-piece band plays a unique blend of psychedelic-electro-funk that contains elements of rock, soul and post-punk, conjuring up comparisons to everyone from Prince to David Bowie to the Talking Heads. [...]
Tweet TV On The Radio go virtual in the promotional film for the new single Will Do taken from the band's forthcoming record Nine Types Of Light . The band wear ultra cool virtual reality glasses and look like they are tripping out while Tunde reflects on a love gone pear-shaped. Do I have it about right? Either way, it's a cool video and the song is just another example of how good this eternally unsung band truly is. [...]

the TV ON THE RADIO go all sexy vibe sci-fi on us via their newest WILL DO video. wotyougot
" Will Do " ist von TV On The Radio 's kommender Platte Nine Types Of Light , welche auf Interscope Mitte April erscheinen wird. Play Off!
TV on the Radio are set to release their forthcoming album Nine Types of Light on April 12th, and today we see the single "Will Do" getting the video treatment. According to OneThirtyBPM , “'Will Do' features the TVOTR band members in some distopia (possibly future Earth) all seemingly quite depressed until they put on an unwieldy and hilariously 1970s sci-fi looking virtual reality headset and gloves, which transports them into a virtual world where they have everything they need to make them happy." TV on the Radio's clip for "Will Do" features Joy in the Machine...I'm sorry I did that. Bad wordplay aside, it's a sexy clip. Moving on. I've drafted several posts covering "Will Do" since TV on the Radio first released the track a few weeks ago, and I've trashed them all. Call it faith in this band, call it reluctance to dogpile a tune that hasn't seen an overwhelmingly positive response-I just haven't seen the utility in writing a post until hearing Nine Types of Light in full. [...]
It's the first video from TV On The Radio 's upcoming Nine Types of Light LP and the band are in a contemplative mood using a futuristic headset to conjure up loving and/or longing images. Like the song it is subtle, beautiful and affecting.
