In late August, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy digitally released the single "Quail And Dumplings" and now that song has a video directed by Ben Berman. It's an island survivor story, and though it doesn't feature any talking volleyballs, it does feature Nina Nastasia! The song is from Billy's forthcoming LP, Wolfroy Goes To Town . Read More...

Tweet For years I've had friends continually tell me how great Will Oldham's Bonnie "Prince" Billy songs are and with all honesty I haven't always agreed. There are always exceptions and "New Wonder" is one of them. I'm not exactly sure why this song stands out to me as being far more impressive than the majority of his previous work, I know it has something to do with the clarity of the message within the lyrics but that's not entirely it. Who knows where Will Oldham will turn up next… The latest recording from Bonnie “Prince” Billy comes courtesy of “The Natural State,” a news piece aired on radio stations over the weekend about “a swarm of mysterious earthquakes beginning last fall along an ancient and heretofore unknown fault” in Faulkner County, Arkansas. Some believe the quakes were catalyzed by thousands of natural gas wells having been hydro-fractured or “fracked” in the area since 2005.
