If you first looked at this band name and thought I was talking about a book, you aren't that crazy, just well read. The band name  Soft Machine was, in fact, named after William S. Burroughs' The Soft Machine . David and Stephen Dewaele (aka The Flying Dewaele Brothers aka 2manydjs aka Soulwax) made the ultimate tribute to their biggest music hero--David Bowie. The brothers worked on an hour long mix with “all things Bowie, whether that is original songs, covers, backing vocals, production work or reworks” and called their friend and director Wim Reygaert to visualise their mix and David Bowie’s spectacular career. As you get ready to take off and do whatever it is you do on this great American holiday, I figured I'd share a few glutenous words with you by the great American novelist, essayist, social critic, painter, spoken word performer and all around avant-garde author, William S.
