Wippenberg, aka Olaf Dieckman, has been a nonstop hit-machine for the last couple of years. Last week, Insomniac Events announced that the Electric Daisy Carnival, held for the past four years in the Los Angeles Coliseum, will be relocated indefinitely to Las Vegas. The Los Angeles based producer was unable to renew its contract with the Coliseum Commission, and so "without an extended contract in place at this time, it has become impossible to to guarantee to all the fans and talent that EDC can be produced in this venue this year," said Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella in an official statement. Festival season is coming up and things are getting slightly out of control. We have The Snowball Festival in early March, South by Southwest in mid March, Ultra Music Festival late March, Coachella in April and Electric Daisy Carnival and Bonnaroo in June. Someday I hope to be able to travel around the country this time of the year going from festival to festival although presently that is definitely not an option.
