As the center-piece of his more well-known band, Wolf Eyes , his presence is clear and pertinent, supplying vocals for most of the band's tracks. All Tomorrow's Parties has announced plans to discontinue its annual installment of holiday festivals with one final event to take place in Camber Sands, UK later this year. The aptly titled End of An Era festival spans two consecutive weekends (Nov. 22th-24 and Nov. 29th-Dec. 1st), each featuring a different lineup. Primavera Sound curates weekend one, and they've recruited Television to top the bill. James and Jas of Simian Mobile Disco dropped the Unpatterns LP today on Wichita Recordings . The duo will be conjuring up magic live via subtractive synthesis at Fabric in London this Friday evening to celebrate the release; (tickets and info here ). R.I.P. is a deep ethereal rave-weary lamentation. Darren Cunningham is based out of South London.  The organic warmth of his sound can be partly attributed to his exclusive use of hardware-based synthesizers, rather than software-based instruments. Cunningham draws heavily on motifs from UK underground dance music, but his record is clearly not aimed directly at the dance-floor. Marcus Ortega conjures up a chilling nostalgic atmosphere through the interplay of a washed out discordant piano, and the deep strolling plucks of a double-bass. With a couple EPs, and the Nothing Else LP [ Brainfeeder , 2010] under his belt, Lorn has shown himself to be extremely sonically versatile.
