A little holiday gift for you! I hope you enjoy. I still love putting these mixes together. This is my first mix in a long while. My turntables were in storage for a year. Then after I set them back up, I had to work the rust off. I'm already excited to work on another one...so you might get a part 2 soon! Im here to please...so let me know in the comments if you want another one sooner than later. [...]

As the back-end of a poorly set-up two-parter (hyphen much?), "vs Phase Three" was pretty good, focusing much of the episode on Sarah's journey to track down Chuck. Yvonne Strahovski got to flex some acting muscles we don't often see, showing range from rage to tears and, of course, kicking ass. Even though it's been overused, Wolfmother's "Woman" was the perfect backing song for Sarah in the cage match and their assault on Chuck's kidnapper's fortress. Playlist: Chuck [...]

So, Halloween is finally upon us. Time for little kids to dress up, knock on doors, and make their dentists' day. Really. When I was a kid, I loved Halloween. I used to plan my costumes a month ahead, and spend night dreaming up bigger, better and more elaborate costumes. And even though Halloween is mostly for the kids, adults get to enjoy it too. This morning, I read this article about a guy who made his three year-old a custom RoboCop costume. While I'm sure the kid is gonna have a great Halloween, I know his dad [...]

If you have't had your coffee yet this morning, you're sure in for some eyebrow raises today for several reasons. First, Andrew W.K. has drank enough coffee for the both of us and has announced the first batch of artists for the Australia and New Zealand's Big Day Out Festival 2011 . Second, hearing Andrew W.K. say the word "antipodal" is hilarious on several levels. And third, and most importantly, the lineup is pretty stacked: Tool, Rammstein, Iggy Pop & The Stooges, Deftones, MIA, LCD Soundsystem, Andrew W.K., The Deftones, The Black Keys, Die Antwoord, Grinderman, Lupe [...]
Jay Watson and Nick "Paisley Adams" Allbrook are not unfamiliar with success. They are used to it as members of Tame Impala, the group from Western Australia that released perhaps the best psychedelic-rock release of 2010 in Innerspeaker. It was a beast of an album that has drawn acclaim for a genre too familiar with [...]

Filed under: Concerts and Tours , News , Video , Exclusive Ever the innovator, Slash is going where few rockers have ever gone before in support of his self-titled debut solo album. On top of rocking out with Fergie at last week's Sunset Strip Music Festival, the guitarist is now releasing a new 3-D version of his video for 'By the Sword,' which features Wolfmother frontman Andrew Stockdale . Set in [...]

How packed could the House of Blues Anaheim be on a Thursday night? Super packed is the answer. Having frequented numerous House of Blues Anaheim shows, seeing that the floor was fairly full well before the show started meant the crowd was ready for the rock. Wolfmother last appeared in Anaheim in 2007 at the Grove of Anaheim riding high on the wave of success from their debut album. Supporting their latest album Cosmic Egg , Wolfmother were razor sharp as the tones from Andrew Stockdale's Gibson SG richoceted like a sledgehammer [...]
The premiere festival-info website tells us their favorite fest covers. The Raconteurs sing Gnarls Barkley, Bruce Springsteen sings the Clash, Yoav sings Radiohead, Jay-Z does the Beastie Boys, and a ton more!

Toronto - I've been getting bombarded with "newer" music from a certain site for the past months and I have to say, it's pretty useful. This is one song that I'm listening right now - New Moon Rising (YACHT remix) . You can find the song after the link. Australian rock band Wolfmother's New Moon Rising sounded a LOT less hostile in YACHT's hands. I've never heard the original until after the remix so there might be bias, but I can do without the 80s guitar rifts. With electronics in the background, YACHT manages to bring out the loneliness [...]
After a morning of getting lit and cushioning our stomachs with Noah’s Bagels, we set off into the roughly 50,000 patron crowd. More like it: 2010 Outside Lands Lineup Announced FREE TICKETS: Outside Lands 2010 Strokes, Phoenix, Al Green, and more VIDEOS from Outside Lands 2010

Yesterday we eased you into Day 1 of Outside Lands 2010, and now here we are, back with more! The second half of Saturday offered some killer performances, and the weather held up well enough to let the fans seriously enjoy some rock and roll awesomeness. Also, we're not going to lie: THE STROKES!!!! Just sayin'. Check out all the coverage below, and come back tomorrow for Day 2! -- My Morning [...]

With all the hoopla regarding Outside Lands' mild line-up, minus one day, minus one stage, and headliners that frankly don't live up to the massive nature that the festival is known for, I didn't have huge expectations. I was, however, excited to see many acts I've never caught before and just wander around outside and enjoy some good music. Outside Lands isn't just about the music but about the food, wine, and art that surrounds the grounds. While I may have been a little disappointed with the line-up, I still love Outside Lands and vibe it gives off. [...]
