The forecast is more favorable for Wonder Girls, who mirror Pink Lady's appropriateness for the time, as their new American single "The DJ Is Mine" features several dubstep-aping portions. Although watching the trailer for their movie can prompt cringes, their TeenNick flick shows that the folks marketing the group know how to zero in on a demographic. Whereas Utada and BoA just showed up in America and presumed being big in Asia would equal sales abroad, Wonder Girls is being introduced—or, for those who saw them open for The Jonas Brothers, further developed—specifically for the teen and tween markets. Given [...]

Wonder Girls were the first K-pop act to crack the Hot 100 chart here in the States, with their single "Nobody". And now they've teamed up with School Gyrls ( remember them? ) for a bit of "The Boy Is Mine" -like competition on new jam "The DJ Is Mine". Like School Gyrls before them, Wonder Girls are taking the Teen Nick route to fame ( The Wonder Girls premieres February 2). At any rate, you might be wondering: with so many gyrls to choose from, who will the DJ pick? Find out below. [...]

South Korea is quickly becoming the new home of catchy pop music. K-Pop has already taken Asia by storm, and the phenomenon is steadily making its way to the US with acts like Wonder Girls, 2NE1 and BIGBANG working on English language debuts. Given the genre's growing popularity, we thought it was about time to introduce you to some of K-Pop's biggest names. On this occasion, we limited ourselves strictly to bands, since not only is the proliferation and success of boy bands and girl groups one of the defining features of the Korean pop scene, these artists [...]

HeavyRoc's wondergirl Alex Winston, has unleashed a video for the monogamy anthem of the year, "Sister Wife". I really hope your not one of these "sister wives", as then you will be attacked by snakes and blood spitting kittens. Your also not as pretty as her, so I would stay back if I was you. You have no chance. Alex Winston - "Sister Wife"
Brazilian Girls : Two Nation Army . Now that the U.S. has been knocked out of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, who should Americans root for? (Those of us who follow football, anyway.) Well, if we're as multi-culti as we like to think, we probably all have roots in other countries-or a couple if you're Brazilian Girls' Sabina Sciubba. The best part about the World Cup is the exposure it brings to international music. Two-hundred and four countries attempted to qualify for this installment of the World Cup, and here we present a selection of [...]

The Hair Kid is a musician from New Jersey who is quite popular on Youtube, his main thing seems to be to remixing Korean and Japanese pop artists, adding his own touches and raps to tracks. This sounds like it could be the worst thing in the history of anything. Put somehow he manages to pull it off... take this track as an example. Thoughts when listening.... 1. Wonder Girls are terrible, I checked out out their myspace it made by ears bleed. 2. This isn't [...]
Great Perf. Lim just needs to stop being so awkward but it was really good. Bad quality can't tell if bad or good. it's a great perf but... idk sometime is feel like they are competing each other. Like who can be the sexiest or who can be the more powerful one. I'm more talking about Hyuna and Jiyoon. But that just my opinion. i love his voice so much and this is my favorite song.

It's a good interview. Their english is getting better.
I think I like the english version better. I like the beginning and the chorus but the verses are not good and that "the joy you gave me was so good/ the pain you gave me was so bad" imma need some better lyrics from them. Once again i like the chorus but this could be written much better.
I wouldn't call this the 80's. It's more a mixture of 60's, 70's, and 80's. I'm interest still though.

The better thing to come out of Alaska: Kate Earl. Earl makes pop music, but it's not all completely manufactured and auto-tuned. Personally, I think "Nobody" by Kate Earl was one of the catchiest, sexiest ("Nobody hikes up my skirt like you") songs of the year and yet she has been unable to garner the amount of popularity that marketing machine Katy Perry has been able to gain. "Nobody" is subtle, a bit dark with a pinch yearning... and an utterly alluring beat. Hopefully, Earl finds more of the commercial success she deserves in 2010! mp3: [...]
