Check out a really hot new track from The-Dream (the mastermind behind Rihanna's massive hit Umbrella ) featuring Lil' Jon. At least in our world, Lil' Jon has been m.i.a. on the radio for a while, and with this song, I think he might be back!! It's a killer, funky dance track that's just really fun to listen to. We've been playing Heartless hard, and we love Love Lockdown. ..these two new songs are sounding equally amazing!! DC based DJ-duo Thievery Corporation just put out a new album, "Radio Retaliation" last week. While we've been giving the album a few spins and while we haven't been loving it, the first track, Sound the Alarm , is killer. As a short post script to our previous post about Kanye's new single, Love Lockdown , we'd like to simply add that we've decided we love the song. Absolutely love it. It's so much softer than anything that Kanye has done before, wonderfully simple and beautiful, and the chorus is to die for. It's an absolutely brilliant song, and we've honestly been listening to it on repeat for the past few days. Watch him perform it live at the VMA's below. It's rumored a new album "808's and Heartbreak" will be dropping this December.
Check out the HQ leak of Kanye West's new single Love Lockdown . We're really, really feeling the track; while there's no real rapping on the track, and a subtle auto-tune is used up the wazoo, we're loving the slick chorus and killer drums, and the more we listen to the song, which we've been doing for the last half an hour, the more we're loving it. Below is a really cool new video from Kanye West for Good Morning . We're not quite sure if Good Morning is slated to be a single, we doubt it and we're not sure the track would carry much influence on radio anyway, but the video is really, really sick. A new song from T.I.'s "Paper Trail" has leaked and it samples M.I.A's Paper Planes . The song is nice, its pretty awesome hearing all these big hitters on one track, but we're relatively unimpressed with the sampling: sampling M.I.A. is sick, but there's nothing that creative about this song besides it's concept. This is reggae, not rap, but we figured Woodstock would like it anyway. This track, She's Royal from Tarrus Riley, came out a while back, but we just ran across it and, not really considering ourselves fans of reggae, were really surprised by how much we liked it.
