The World Inferno Friendship Society has been one of my favorite bands for a little while now, winning me over years ago with their passionate live shows and their incredibly eclectic sound (what has been described as cabaret punk). So when they played a song I've never heard last month , I was confused and asked someone what the hell album was this off of? "Oh, this is off of 3 Ring Brain and A Circus Heart ." What the hell? I looked into it more and found that 3 Ring Brain And A Circus [...]

The World Inferno Friendship Society always have the most passionate shows. On Thursday night, I headed out to West Chester's Note in order to catch the cabaret punk, and due to an emergency, unfortunately missed both Spraynard and Mischief Brew. I came close to missing part of Inferno as well but walked in right as the band began their call to arms "Tattoos Fade". In all honesty, I was a little bit nervous about the crowd being lackluster due to the fact it was in West Chester as opposed to Philly (even Municipal Waste shows at The Note leave [...]

Brooklyn-based orchestral punk rock heroes The World/Inferno Friendship Society are coming to The Camel on Feb. 15 in support of its new album "The Anarchy and The Ecstasy." I am LOVING this album. LOVING IT. This record is just a damn good time full of punk, ska, and plenty of fun.

It's valentine's day, that special day where single people are bitter and wish they were in relationships and people in relationships wish they were single... oh and something about Al Capone killing a bunch of people on a boat or something. Here's a little vday mix for all you punk hearts out there, because I'm your valentine. Why don't you rise me up? Down by the pumpkin patch I've been waiting all year just to get myself born, I've been waiting all year just to meet you . A crowded space. The smell of sweat. Smoke and booze. A man with a toaster on his head. A shoe against the side of my face. The World/Inferno Friendship Society. If you have ever attended Hallowmas, then you know exactly what I'm talking about. Hallowmas: [...]
Hallowfuckingween. After making my friend listen to Misfits all day (pretty sure that's a law), I headed out to Philly's new Union Transfer for sold out Hallowmas featuring World Inferno Friendship Society, Melt Banana, and Mischief Brew. The majority of people there were dressed up in full blown costume and people were in high spirits, handing out candy, throwing glitter, etc.Mischief

Konstantin Sergeyev Hi, my name is Jack Terricloth, I'm in that World/Inferno Friendship Society organization. We're a mostly music based gang of cats and kittens based in Brooklyn, N.Y. but really living any number of places and at the moment in a couple cargo vans hurtling through Kansas of all places on one of our missions to keep gas stations and bars across the world economically feasible. I've been asked to tell you about my top five Halloween memories and I'm happy to do it. [Ed. note: Click here for info [...]

World/Inferno Friendship Society released The Anarchy and The Ecstasy earlier this year; however the band's true home is not in the studio but on the road. This is why it's delightful to see them heading out for a few tour dates this fall. Many shows will be with The Phenomenauts , but for a period starting on October 28 at New York's Irving Plaza and ending on Halloween in Philadelphia, the band will be engaging their yearly tradition of "Hallowmas" shows. Full schedule is below. World/Inferno Friendship Society tour dates: [...]

World/Inferno Friendship Society and The Phenomenauts have booked a West Coast tour together beginning at the end of September.
It's been a long time trusty readers, and for that, I apologize. Shit has been insane over here. I wound up buying a new car, the next day shattering both my forearm bones at The Bouncing Souls show, and then being hospitalized for a few days for surgery to put some metal plates in, moving to a new apartment (shoutout to all my family and friends who moved me since I can't lift shit), and

World/Inferno Friendship Society has announced a run of US dates for the fall. Click below for the details. The band released The Anarchy and the Ecstasy earlier this year.
When The Bouncing Souls announced that they were doing their series "For All The Unheard" I completely lost my shit. Being a fan since I was but a wee punker, knowing that they were going to play every album in the basement of a church without any barricades... yeah, words cannot express how much fuck yes this.World Inferno Friendship Society:Photo From BlowTheScene.comOn Wed. The longstanding cabaret punk collective returns with a solid set of well-arranged, horn-dominated songs that verge on the melodramatic. The World/Inferno Friendship Society is a longstanding Brooklyn-based collective that plays cabaret punk spanning the themes of good times, political mindedness and their intersection. The Anarchy and the Ecstasy is their thirteenth release (fifth album), but the first offering since the Peter Lorre-inspired concept album Addicted to Bad Ideas, from 2007. There have been lineup changes over the last few years, but nothing too new for the loose sense of the collective, which tends to...

The Circle of Life: The World/InfernoFriendship Society In the early 1994, New Brunswick, NJ band Sticks and Stones collapsed. Front man Pete Ventantonio moved to New York and transformed into the anarchy praising, noir styling, soliloquy spouting Jack Terricloth. Shortly thereafter, Terricloth created the World/Inferno Friendship Society . A punk band unlike any other, World/Inferno mixed the power chord with the horn line, combining punk with cabaret music, borrowing from equal parts Darby Crash and Tommy Dorsey. After their initial release, the thunderous "Tattoos Fade," World/Inferno became an elite touring unit whose shows regularly [...]
On Friday, I headed out to the sold out basement of Philly's Unitarian Church to catch one of my favorite bands, circus punk act World Inferno Friendship Society. It's been nearly two years since I've had a chance to catch these guys, so I was pretty excited for the show.Mirrors and Wires:I got there right in time for New Brunswick NJ's Mirrors and Wires, and I wasn't really sure what to
World/Inferno Friendship Society are streaming their upcoming album, The Anarchy and the Ecstacy , right now. The album is due out next week and will be followed by some touring later this month and into April. Check out the stream here .
World/Inferno Friendship Society will be hitting the road in March for a run of East Coast dates stretching into the midwest.
The World Inferno Friendship Society's "The Anarchy And The Ecstasy" has been one of the most highly anticipated albums of 2011 ever since the Brooklyn/NJ cabaret punks announced it's release date of March 15th. The 5th studio album from one of my favorite bands, I was a bit nervous upon first spin since I didn't really dig their "Vox Inferne" EP the band released last year.So was my
