Looking back, it's almost like the '06 Jay Reatard and the '09 Jay Reatard are two different people. Punching jerks, doing interviews, and putting music together can do a lot to a guy in a 3-year period, apparently; because Jay sounds like he's working a new approach on his upcoming Watch Me Fall. LA-based experimental outfit Health are to play Whelan's on April 17. Their eponymous debut was released last year to massive critical acclaim from the likes of Pitchfork and Drowned In Sound and they are Dan Deacon's "favourite band at the moment". They've also done some remix work for touring mates Crystal Castles, alongside Deacon and White Williams, developing a reputation as ones to watch in 2009.
