The Red Bull Music Academy World Tour announced it will makes two stops in the States. On Monday, Sept. 12, the week-long festivities start in Detroit. The Detroit stop focuses on Detroit's musical history (Motown, Garage-Rock, Techno, etc.) but the second stop in New York City is called, "Five Days. Five Boroughs. Triumph is a perfect example of the Wu's finest work. It includes verses by all nine members (albeit ODB provides the intro, not a verse) with the addition of Cappodonna, a psuedo-member of the Clan. While Triumph includes all the members, it's more than that; all of the verses are on point. After ODB's intro, Inspectah Deck drops the verse of his life and the others follow suit. Ghostface Killah , aka Dennis Coles, has filed a lawsuit to collect royalties for his work with hip hop legends Wu Tang Clan . The suit, filed August 10 against Universal Music Group , alleges that the label violated a contract by claiming a 50% stake in Wu Tang's songs, instead of a the 25% that Coles asserts they are entitled to. New York natives Raekwon, Kojoe, and Kurupt really went in with their old school flow on "Samurydas". I have never been disappointed in Raekwon because even when most hip hop artists had turned mainstream, he kept his Wu-Tang Clan roots and still keeps the cool vibe going.
