The wait for Breakfast in finally almost over. Chiddy and Xaph know how grateful their fans have been the last couple years, and how we had to all patiently wait for this to arrive. As a present, the duo made a street video for "By Your Side", a track that sadly won't be one the album. Chiddy Bang were on a recent radio run and stopped in a handful of cities to hit the local stations and a perform a show every night. Xaphoon Jones and Chiddy have continued to step up their live show skills, but have kept their signature freestyle sessions during a show. Xaphoon Jones has been doing what he does best for a couple of years now. Usually his remixes have been distinguished by very poppy-electronic elements with the ability to make even the most upsetting songs become upbeat anthems. This is nuts. Xaphoon has been on our radar for a few years now, but it's always so interesting to take a step back and see how far he's come. The remixes, edits and some of the beats he's done recently are far exceeding what I expected from the "Kids" sampling dude back in 2009. This remix is just another example, as he builds a stabbing, synth-filled backrop around St. Lucia's catchy indie with snappy vocal samples and a lot of handclaps darting in and out of the picture, all leading up to a decidedly triumphant breakdown. Noah Beresin) dropped a new track that you can download below called "Possessed by the Devil" last night remixing the jam "Possessed" by Elbee Thrie (of Phony Ppl).
