I like to read Susan Sontag's diary entries from when she was just turning 26. She's neurotic and impetuous, wrapped up in the imagined details of others. Here is this thinking giant of the Western canon, suddenly reduced to an ordinary, self-obsessed 20-something. A while ago I read an article in The Coast about Halifax's Yellow Jacket Avenger , aka Geoffrey Pye, and thought "this is an an interesting fellow, make mental note to check him out further". Alright, so this song isn't officially a part of Yellow Jacket Avenger 's excellent debut album, Double Nature , but I can't stop listening to it anyway.
