Bibio will be releasing his seventh album Silver Wilkinson on May 14, and is now sharing the track “You” which juxtaposes the more vocal and live instrumentation driven single “ À Tout À L’Heure .” The two tracks typify the inability to pigeonhole the Bibio sound, while still maintaining a cohesive feeling across a record.
A new track from the forthcoming Bibio album, Silver Wilkinson , which is gonna be released on Warp records later this year. On previous releases, the UK produced showed himself to be a jack of all trades when it comes to influences and musical emulation. On this latest track of his, "You," Bibio ventures out on a more hip hop-influenced endeavor with a punchy beat and methodically splattered soul samples. The track is seductive and detailed. Enjoy! Since we discovered the upcoming French producer Andrea a couple of weeks back, we haven't been able to stop listening to his tracks. His inventive style that mixes organic electronic, R&B, future garage, and bass melodies together, is ridiculously infectious. Some songs are slow-burners, taking repeated listens to squirm their way into your head and heart. Some songs are instant. They just grab you from the off, shake themselves all over you and strut off again, leaving nothing but a longing gaze and a memory. Loving You Down from Oakland's Bells Atlas is most certainly the latter. The scrappy, scruffy percussion and the sumptuous layered vocals grab you straight away before a smooth-as-silk voice takes the reigns and guides the track through three glorious minutes of inventive instrumentation, stuttering rhythms and perfect, PERFECT, pop hooks.
