A vibrant mix of surf-rock and indie-pop, 'You and Me' is the debut single from North London quintet The Dead Fronts , and it's a delightful listen. There aren't very many new bands in this vein that can get away with displaying their influences so clearly, but the group don't wear them on their collective sleeve, and should be pleased with their efforts, because the song, which will be released via their Bandcamp on August 8th, is definitely a good place to start. There's nothing dead about them aside from their name.

If you haven't seen the movie Blue Valentine , you should. Definitely not a first date type of movie but it's a raw look at a real couple. Along with some great acting and nice cinematography, it's very relatable, and perfectly captures the ups and downs of a relationship (may your lows never be as low as their lows).
