The Wake All My Youth EP is Young Empires' first statement and is impressive in certain regards but hampered by limitation. There's an old saying that goes "If you only have one song, make sure it's a good one." Young Empires seemed to have latched onto this theory and held it for all its worth. Young Empires is an electronic band that is great to listen to. They aren't the stereotypical electronic band that has dubstep blasting in the background. It's not house either. It's a very relaxing, mellow sound. I was surprised to hear such a great sound from an electronic indie band. "Spacedoubt" is the first song off the album. It is a trancy beat with trippy vocals.
