One of last year's best new bands, Yuck , is back with a new single. "Chew" is unattached to an album as far as we know, but it's always good to release new material on the eve of one of the country's biggest music festivals ( Yuck is playing Coachella Friday). The track confirms that the band is still very into 90s college rock, but the track's final minute hints that the band may be moving in an other, darker direction. Filed under: News , New Music , New Releases Yuck British '90s rock revivalists Yuck have released their latest track " Chew " for consumption. As expected with any Yuck track, it's automatically catchy and has the psychedelic heaviness of earlier Pumpkins work combined with much more melodic guitar. Stream it below.

Been awhile since we've heard from Yuck - save for a few gigs here and there - but now the UK grungesters return with a new single. Titled "Chew", the track exudes the same early '90s rust that made up last year's CoS Top Star-earning self-titled debut , only now there's a stronger focus on the shoegaze. Think My Bloody Valentine fronted by J Mascis and you're in. Or, just listen below.

Yuck surprised everyone with a new song titled Chew , today. The track is very reminiscent of My Bloody Valentine, Smashing Pumpkins, or more recently The Pains of Being Pure of Heart with it layers of guitars and distortion. You can stream it below. Currently peddling their hazy, shoegaze wares stateside following the deluxe reissue of their 2011 full length debut, North Londoners Yuck have revealed a brand new song called 'Chew.' A distinctly down tempo affair its anthemic guitar hooks howl softly below typically reverb-soaked vocals while clashing cymbals seem to embellish the tracks bittersweet air. Whether this will form part of a physical release in the future remains to be seen, although a new physical release is apparently in the works.

Just in time for Coachella, British alt-rockers Yuck debuted a new track this morning entitled "Chew." Nothing groundbreaking from the band, but still a great track.

Yuck will be at Coachella this weekend and next, and have lined up a few Cali dates in between. This song's release is most certainly timed as a ploy to raise awareness for these dates - so be aware of them - but it is also a very good song in its own right for fans of the guitar sounds on any Alan Moulder record, from MBV and Ride and Curve right up to the Pains Of Being Pure At Heart's "Belong." "Chew" is Yuck 's musical contribution to "keeping up the good work". If you love riffs and dreamy vocals like we all do, this is your kinda thing.

Always a good day to get some new tunes from Yuck . Just saw this while trolling Twitter - so don't know any context, but it's a solid tune. They play Coachella coming up.

When Yuck brought their Siamese Dream era grunge to the masses early last year, it's safe to say they divided opinion. However, like them or not, they've got songwriting chops, and that's undeniable. The question on the lips of those who care is - can they do it all over again? The simple is yes. With 'Chew' we're presented with the same brand of shoegazey-grunge that they've always created, but this time the production sounds a lot thicker, particularly towards the end. The throwback-to-the-90s indie rock band Yuck released a new song today called Chew . I gave it a few listens and it fits in very much with the band's body of work thus far. The song is worth a listen or two. Yuck does justice to the 90s rock music scene better than any band out there currently. Check out the song below:
