The other day I got an email in my box via the Moovmnt fellas - Julie Dexter - Transitions (produced by Zo!) it said. Awesome, new Julie Dexter, I thought. However, turns out this track was released several years ago and Moovmnt were showcasing it as part of "slept-on sundays." So clearly I'm guilty of sleeping on it, but am glad Moovmnt brought it to light again, it's a really great track. Once I heard it, I kinda wanted to hear more collaborations between these two, although none could be found. I also could not find an album on which this [...]

Mat Zo as I have blogged about, recently released his EP " Bipolar " and the first single " It's Yours " which has been a monster hit. " Yoyo Ma ", the 2nd single off the EP is another quality track from Mat. The track features some distorted and glitchy synths that drops into a soaring breakdown and then progresses into a explosive drop. Monster track....definitely check this one out! <p>&amp;amp;lt;p&a mp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp ;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;p& amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&am p;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp; amp;lt;a href=" http://soundowl.com/track/2top /mat-zo-yoyo-ma-original-mix"& amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;am p;amp;gt;Download Mat Zo Yoyo Ma (Original Mix)&amp;amp;amp;amp;a mp;amp;amp;lt;/a&amp;a mp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;& ;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;l t;/p&amp;amp;amp;amp;a mp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;lt; /p&amp;amp;gt;</p> Electronic dance music, House, Electro, Disco, Progressive, Tech, Dance, club [...]
Mat Zo, a trance artist on Anjunabeats, shows off his new-found skills in progressive and electro house with the release of this brand new EP. He's well known for a track he did with Arty a while ago, entitled "Rebound" . The title track, "Bipolar" , is appropriately named for both its dirty synth leads, and its beautiful mau5-style plucks. http://www.beatport.com/releas e/the-bipolar-ep/865711 Mat Zo - Bipolar "It's Yours" [...]
Matan Zohar, code name Mat Zo , had his first track signed at the age of 16. Born in 1990, he's even younger than I am, and he's already made himself into a household name. While his association with Above & Beyond 's Anjunabeats label means he's most frequently associated with trance and progressive sounds, and he certainly does dabble in this realm, Zohar knows how to blend genres, and his music ranges from subtle, smooth tracks to fist-pumping party jams. You can stream the full Bipolar EP, due out on Anjunabeats on February 13 [...]
Following his recent anthem "Mozart", Mat Zo is preparing to release his sensational four-track Bipolar EP with a tour across North America. Already receiving support from Axwell , Skrillex , and BBC Radio 1, the young prodigy has a distinctive style of progressive big room sounds with trance roots hence his association with Above & Beyond 's Anjunabeats. His Bipolar EP serves a set of chilled progressive tracks due to be released on February 13th. Check out the [...]

Mat Zo must have had the name Bipolar in mind when thinking of what new and interesting ways there are to push the limits of what trance music can be. This song is all over the place yet perfectly in order. When you hear this song begin to be mixed in as the 2nd song on the 2nd disk of Anjunabeats, Vol. 9 your wondering whats about to happen and what does happen is Mat Zo asks you "Can you dance?" and then without giving you time to reply answers the question for you with a slammin [...]

By now, the average Earmilk reader knows at least three things about a great mix: 1. The first is that an accomplished DJ will use songs that you would never expect to hear, yet uses them in a way that completely works with the overall mix. 2. The second is that a successful mix involves the listener: taking them gently by the hand, and guiding them through a tasteful assortment of genres and artists. (And if the average mix is at least thirty minutes, they had better be tasteful.) If the songs are accurately [...]

Zo! is a multi-instrumentalist / producer from Detroit who is on The Foreign Exchange Music label. His soulful hip-hop sound is a perfect match for that label, born out of the success of Phonte and Nicolay's original Foreign Exchange collaboration. Just Visiting Three is the latest installment in Zo!'s series of free eps in which he reworks cover songs with the help of a slew of progressive soul vocalists like Eric Roberson, Sy Smith,Nicholas Ryan Gant and more. Most often, hip-hop covers bring to mind images of indie bands rapping something that could be found on one of those Now Thats What I Call Music compilations, with their tongue firmly in their cheek. Well, that's not quite the case here. For this Friday Five, I've gathered a collection of songs by hip-hop artists that are covers of non hip-hop songs, not just samples for production or rehashed for their hooks. It took a bit of digging, but I was able to find songs by the likes of Mos Def and Ol' Dirty Bastards [...]

Listening to this super-funky remake of Wham!'s "Everything She Wants" by musician-producer Zo! and Phonte (of Little Brother/ The Foreign Exchange fame), you almost want to slap the domes of about 95% of the artists on today's charts with the nerve to dub themselves an "R&B act", then send them to up to their rooms until they've discovered out to either play an instrument, exist without Auto-Tune, or, better yet, just not suck. Bypass the fact that the duo have reminded us of the greatness of a sadly oft-overlooked blue-eyed-soul jizzam [...]

Nearly three year ago, Zo! and Phonte teamed up to deliver Zo! and Tigallo Love The 80's , a collection of classic tracks like Joe Jackson's "Steppin Out" and Toto's "Africa." Apart from the ridiculous artwork and altogether-fun vibe, the album was a serious venture for the duo. You can hear that throughout the project, which is as musically solid as you would expect from two dudes with résumés that feature the Foreign Exchange, Little Brother, and Slum Village. And today, Zo! and Phonte have decided to give it away for free as the former puts the finishing touches [...]

LessThan3 favorite Mat Zo has been murdering with every release he's put out over the past few years. Whether trance, techno, or some ingenious combination of the two, Zo never disappoints-quite a statement to make about a 21-year old. This time, Zo has remixed Kyau & Albert's 2009 track Be There 4 U into a euphoric, techy, electro opus that you can't take your ears away from for one second. Be There 4 U features everything we love about Zo-his masterful working of vocal samples, his electro-driven [...]
