I couldn't stop grinning the entire time I was watching the video for "Pool!," the latest from the Australian group Cub Scouts .  Maybe it was the because of the great one-piece swimsuits, the awkwardness of the background dancers, or the band actually doing their own synchronized routine - either way, it sure looked like the the band was having a great time making the video.

Savages' "She Will" can be found on their forthcoming album Silence Yourself.  The first single off the album is an upbeat, almost psychedelic, track that could easily find itself in a horror movie.  Although the vocals may seem a bit "screamy" at times, the track gets my heart racing and reals me in.  Take a listen below.

Brushfire Records never seems to disappoint.  Their lineup of artists is out of this world awesome and Matt Costa is just one member of their lengthy and robust roster of talent.  His newest release just emboldens the catalog of records he has already put out in the past decade. Not sure about you, but this was one of my most highly anticipated albums for this year (among a number of others on the way in the near future).  Julian Casablancas and  The Strokes  are making their first return since 20112s  Angles  and while it's not their best work ever,  Comedown Machine doesn't disappoint. The opening track "Tap Out" really sets the tone for the album with some sweet intertwined guitar and bass riffs reminiscent of "Machu Picchu," which was actually the opening track, and my favorite, from  Angles . Most bands that have been around for 20 years have started reissuing albums, but Low , continues to push themselves beyond their comfort zone as is apparent with their latest release, The Invisible Way . The Minnesota group has continually to expand on their minimalistic style, this time with the help of Wilco frontman, Jeff Tweedy . Despite Tweedy's style being heavily cemented in Americana, The Invisible Way  doesn't stray too far from the punk, pop and art-rock flavors commonly found on a Low record. Why the photos of  Daft Punk ? Well it's because the electronic duo has just announced the release date to their new album  Random Access Memories which is set to debut on May 21st. Although they've done the  Tron  soundtrack and a few remix albums, we haven't gotten a studio album from the duo since 2005 making this very exciting. The wonderful people over at The Current are bringing us an evening with Low at the Fitzgerald Theater tonight at 8:00p.m. The event will celebrate the 20-year history of the band and the release of their new album,  The Invisible Way,  produced by Jeff Tweedy . It's Friday, folks! And that means we should all be happy. Work, school, heck, even if your spring break is coming to a close, Friday is always a good day. So listen, sing, dance and have an absolutely brilliant Friday... or the terrorists win.

The Cat Empire is a group that I have enjoyed listening to for years but have never had the chance to see them live.  This probably has to do to the fact that they're based out of Australia but whatever.  This tune will be on their fifth studio album which will be coming out this spring, their first full-length release in three years.
