by teepoo My favourite Acadian rap group (not sure if there are others) Radio Radio is back with a video for Galope . They look mighty fine as cowboys, although I'm not sure that's what I would consider them here.

by teepoo I feel like I only just posted a new Wintersleep song but here's another! Unlike some of their previous songs, there is a bit of an electronic influence. It seems like the band is experimenting with some new sounds, while still remaining close to heart with what we're familiar with. I loved All Red and I'm very excited for Hello Hum to come out! Wintersleep- Resuscitate

by teepoo Happy Easter Sunday! Here are some great remixes
![[Listen/Download] Bloodhouse- Please Don't Meet Me](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4185380_lg.jpg)
by teepoo Here's one for all you who like music on the heavier side. This is Halifax's Bloodhouse. Their heavy pop punk has jarring guitars with vocals that are mixed in on the softer side. Bloodhouse- Please Don't Meet Me Bandcamp
![[Listen/Download] The Holiday Crowd- Never Speak Of It Again](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4185201_lg.jpg)
by teepoo The Holiday Crowd is a Toronto 4 piece band. So far, they have only released an EP titled Over the Bluffs . Never Speak of It Again is a track off the release and features an alternative rock sound juxtaposed with rather melancholy vocals. Maybe it's because of the repetition of the chorus in the song but it borders on annoying. But if they wanted to create a catchy song, it was successful in that point. It's definitely not a bad first effort [...]
![[Listen/Download] Lioness- The Night](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4185202_lg.jpg)
by teepoo Toronto trio Lioness is releasing their debut full length on April 17th, 2012 . It will be called The Golden Killer . The album is produced by Leon Taheny who's work with Holy Fuck and Owen Pallett. The 12 song album is a cacophony of edgy rock songs that can also double as dance tracks. Here's a great example with a song called The Night . I love the fearless wails of Vanessa Fischer. Lioness- The Night

by teepoo Have a lovely long weekend everybody! Here are some covers. White Denim- Get Back To Love (Street Joy Cover)
![[Listen/Download] Carly Maicher- See You Soon](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4183582_lg.jpg)

See You Soon is a track off this new album and it demonstrates in some beautiful optimism behind those feelings of loneliness. Carly Maicher- See You Soon Bandcamp
![[Listen/Download] RatTail- Soon Enough](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4183172_lg.jpg)
by teepoo Here is another Toronto group I seem to have not mentioned yet. They are a three piece indie-rock band. The sound is bright even though the vocalist is wailing. As we near closer to summer, it only seems appropriate to bring out this dream-pop like sound. It's the kind of music you can have a beer in the sun to. RatTail- Soon Enough

![[Listen/Download] Ollie North- Cold Apppearaance](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4181752_lg.jpg)
by teepoo No, I did not typo and hit too many letters in the title of this post. The song is in fact called Cold Apppearaance . Maybe it's supposed to represent the stutter of the words on a cold winter's day. From Montreal, Ollie North's music is a type of calm acoustic ambient-folk. They recently released an EP titled Lindenfels which you can grab free on Bandcamp . Ollie North- Cold Apppearaance
![[Listen/Download] Leisure Gang- Leisure Gang](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4181411_lg.jpg)
Check out this track by the new project of Vancouver's Sweatshop Union under the monicker Leisure Gang . This is a pretty great intro anthem. There's a self-titled EP that should be out very soon. Leisure Gang demonstrates their progressive sound and will move onto a more loose party feel. Leisure Gang- Leisure Gang

![[Listen/Download] Weed- Ben's Tour](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4179265_lg.jpg)
by teepoo From Vancouver, Weed is a fuzzy grunge rock band. You'll find a lot of noise in their Gun Control EP , free on Bandcamp . Here is their single Ben's Tour . Somehow even though the vocals are so hidden in the noise, the song still manages to be pretty contagious. Weed- Ben's Tour
![[Listen] Tor- Glass & Stone](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4178806_lg.jpg)
by teepoo Last year we posted the well loved track by Tor titled Aperture . The dude is back and about to release a full album titled Drum Therapy . Check out Glass & Stone off the upcoming album that demonstrates his use of Celtic samples and down-tempo beats. The result is a modern type of "world" music. Website
