[New MP3s] Meth Teeth, At Swim Two Birds, A Grave With No Name, Sun Araw Meth Teeth are based out of Portland and there sure doesn't seem to be a hell of a lot written about them. From what I've gathered they began as the one-man folk project of Mattey Hubele and Kyle Raquipiso later joined the band. [MP3s] The Love Story, New Radiant Storm King, The Daylight Titans, Iran, The Handcuffs Following up on their 2007's S/T release (recorded by famed Steve Albini), The Love Story return for 2009 with Mink . TLS, in my opinion, are somewhat hard to nail down. Mainly classified as slow-core/mood-core, the NYC band throws in touches of Shoegaze to further complement their music. While Albini is no longer at the helm for Mink , the band has not lost his influence to their song-craft. From what I've gathered, frontman and founder Chris Larsen started the band as a way to reach out to his girlfriend (now band mate co-vocalist Melanie Glover) while she was abroad. Larsen created Buildings Breeding as a "fake" band which included its very own MySpace page. Essentially, a way for Larsen to keep in touch with Glover. [MP3's] The Moog, Snowglobe, Dipsomaniacs, Elba Image From Here The Moog are a Budapest, Hungary quintet. Their follow up to the excellent '07 debut Sold For Tomorrow was recorded in Seattle and is titled Razzmatazz Orfeum . They are a hard playing band and put out a sound that is part Ramones, part Dinosaur Jr., with the fuzziness of Jesus & Mary Chain. A nice mix for sure. Think "new wave-garage with hints of post-punk psych" and you will have it nailed. These guys could be big if only they had more exposure! mp3 [...]
