The last two days have been Florence filled, today Shake It Out is revealed as the lead single off Florence + The Machine's second album Ceremonials (available to pre-order here ). It's definitely got a gospel/choir feel to it. Regrets collect like old friends. Here to relive your darkest moments I can see no way, I can see no way... I

Florence + The Machine's new album finally has a name and a track listing. The much anticipiated second album is called Ceremonials , and conatins 12 new tracks, including What The Water Gave Me , and lead single Shake It Out (which will be featured tomorrow). Noticiably absent is Strangeness and Charm , a track which Florence played live a few times this summer. The release date has been moved forward to October 28 via Island Records - see what Flo has to say about the album here . [...]

Combine the math-rock sensibilities of Foals with the catchy hooks of Two Door Cinema Club and you get New Navy , an Australian band repping this weekends Tunage. Zimbabwe is a track that's bound to kick off your weekend in the right way. If you want to hear more, the band's debut EP is available to download on their bandcamp page.

'Sup, St. Lucia - looks like we share the same name. I'm in good company. St. Lucia is Heavy Roc Music's newest roster member, based in Brooklyn NY, via the UK and South Africa (where he's from) - about as far away from the island of St. Lucia as you can get. So far there are only two tracks from St. Lucia floating around, his first single The Old House Is Gone , and follow up All Eyes On You . Two extremely solid summer jams, they have me wishing fall wasn't [...]
Gorgeous new video for Wintercoats' track Working on a Dream . It's a lovely end of summer track, and the video goes hand in hand. Directed, Shot and Edited by Brendan Canty and Conal Thomson of Feel Good Lost .
Mint Julep are Keith and Hollie Kenniff, a husband and wife music duo, who make wistful, dream-tastic chilled out pop. Both The Go! Team & Star Slinger are playing Electric Picnic this weekend, and this track by the two of them is bound to kick off your weekend right. Apollo Throwdow (Star Slinger Remix) , enjoy. The Go! Team Apollo Throwdown (Star Slinger Remix) by Star Slinger
The Sunday line-up has a nice balance of chilled out acts and some bands to keep your energy levels up. Pulp play the main stage as the retro headline act, Zola Jesus is a good alternative tho, on the Cosby Stage at the same time. As usual there is plenty to see, so here's our picks: Oh Land - Electric Arena @ 2.30pm There's something in the water in Scandinavia, producing a steady stream of talented female acts. Oh Land is a perfect example of this, [...]
Saturday's line-up is pretty killer. The main stage seems to have it locked down, if you don't fancy moving around between stages the last four acts of the day on the main stage are gold (James Blake, Lykke Li, Arcade Fire & The Chemical Brothers), that said there's still lots more to see, here's our picks: Nightbox - Cosby Stage @ 12.15pm Nightbox are an Irish band currently based out of Toronto, who are performing their debut irish shows over the next few weeks. We [...]
Ah, Friday - the first day of the festival. You either go all out on the first night and somehow survive on adreline for the next 3 days, or take it easy and get into the full festival spirit on the saturday. Either way there's plenty on the line-up to keep you occupied. Here's our must see's: Star Slinger - Little Big Tent @ 6.15pm Fixers - Swimmhaus Johannesburg (Star Slinger Remix) by Star Slinger [...]

This is my second year in a row missing Electric Picnic , it doesn't get any easier! It's by far my favorite irish music festival, ah the memories . With only a couple more days remaining, the stage times have finally been released, so time to get planning. You can view a larger pdf download of the time-table here . There's been a couple of cancellations since the full time table has been announced, missing from the bill are: Factory Floor, Niki & The Dove, Killing Joke, and The Vaccines. The line-up is still [...]

A band that I couldn't stop listening to last summer is Kisses , a boy/girl duo from LA who make dreamy disco pop. Granted I only had a handful of tracks to go on, but they were played on repeat. Their album was released at the end of last year, but I only got around to listening to it this week - woops! The Heart of the Nightlife has got a perfect end of summer time vibe to it. Bermuda is the first [...]
Not much needs to be said about this, just watch the video and it will put a giant smile on your face. The music (by awesome band Slow Club )doesn't even match up properly to the dancing, but the juxtaposition is beautiful.
Theme Park's debut single Wax is due to be released this week, you should be familiar with the bands super catchy sound if you're a regular reader of the blog, I posted about my

Fuck yeah! Florence + The Machine is back and this had made my day. What The Water Gave Me is the first track to be released from Florence's as yet untitled second album due out November 4th. While the album might not have a title yet, we know a few details about it: the album was produced in full by Paul Epworth and recorded in both Abbey Road and Paul's own studio, over a course the 5 weeks. Check out the video [...]
I was damm excited about the return of Marina and the Diamonds and her Electra Heart concept, which we got a glimpse of 2 weeks ago. Fear and Loathing is a gorgeous track, which had me waiting like a giddy child for the next release, Radioactive . Marina gave a bit of warning that it was going to be different in her recent interview with PopJustice, so I was prepared - kind of. I've given the song a good few listens, and I don't dislike [...]

Lana Del Rey has been playing on my mind all day, thanks to the Guardian, I was intrugied and went off and looked her up, specifically her most recent track Video Games which is just stunning. Self styled as a "gangsta Nancy Sinatra", at first I was put off by the description, but after spending time listening to her music, it's true. The vintage Hollywood inspired sound and vocals are side by side on par with Ms. Sinatra, and if you listen closely to the lyrics / subject matter of [...]
This weekend's tunage features two extremely talented Irish lads. The music is by electronic musician Jack Colleran aka Moths , who recently just got his leaving cert results and signed to label SQE on the same day. The video is directed by Brendan Canty of Feel Good Lost , a recent graduate of my old University course @ CIT. His music video work has been getting some deserved attention of late, and each new video is that bit tighter and slicker on production, check [...]
Visually stunning video for The Naked & Famous' track The Sun. It was directed by Joel Kefali & Campbell Hooper for Special Problems (who also did the video for Girls Like You).

The ever lovely Feist is finally back with some new music, and the first track to be released from her upcoming album Metals just happens to be perfect for some Sunday listening.
